Hi. Who did you go with to try dive in Gibraltar. I’d love to give it a try.
These were try dives on a semi-closed rebreather with my dive club, but Dive Charters Gibraltar at Marina Bay do try dives.
@@shaunmyeo Thanks. What i’d like is to try a rebreather. I’ve dived for years but would like to see about perhaps going the rebreather route. Before investing though, I’d like to give them a try. I’m around Gibraltar often and dive of camp bay mostly (where you were I think).

The Dive Centre is a PADI Dive Centre, and Booking for the dives done via PADI Travel. This is why the logo is on the thumbnail, together with the Estonian Flag, Dive Centres Logo and the Soviet Union Flag (which is for historical purposes and no longer exists).
Which dive operator you went through? I have dived with 6 shark species including Tigers. Also dove with various ray species and sperm whales. But this is just on anothwr level! Can you help me? Want to know how you did this.

Great dive. why did you stage the DPVs at 650m or so ? is it too narrow and curvy to go through after a certain point ? thank you
We wanted to explore a large Gallery (Laberinto 600) off the mainline, by swimming and referencing all the Ts we found and finding a way back out of this maze to another T back onto the mainline further on, so we documented everything inside, before turning back the way we came and then retrieved the DPVs and continued on the mainline. Their are some narrow passages and very silty areas and percolation inside so it is best to swim inside this gallery anyways in my own opinion.
@@shaunmyeo got it. So up to the burbuja 800 on the main line going with the DPV is fine ? thank you for posting the videos, very useful to help prepare for a dive.

I'm torn because I would love to explore deep underwater caves (with proper training of course), where few people in the history of our planet have been - but I can't imagine being 500 meters away from my natural safe environment. Do any of you cave divers ever felt this way before cave diving and the feeling just goes away after you go through the training and see how actually safe it is (when properly prepared and trained)? Or were you comfortable at the idea since the very beginning? Thanks!
I can add a comment since I just saw this comment. For me, I wasn't really afraid of being far away from safety from the get-go. I went into the training already quite familiar with the concepts of cave diving, and to me it was a given that I would be x number of feet/meters away from an exit at any given time, and I couldn't just ascend. What makes cave divers feel ok with that idea is the fact of redundancy. We always carry 2+ tanks, we always dive with others who also are carrying 2+ tanks, we are very diligent with marking our lines and communicating with others to make sure we can find our way back out, and we have lots of other redundancy like multiple computers, 3+ lights, backup spools, line cutters, extensive dive planning, and more. We know that cave diving is not an inherently safe activity, but we mitigate the dangers by being as trained, prepared and equipped as possible.
