I loved this movie! I was engaged from beginning to end and the format is a big reason why. I think the way Searching and Missing tell their mystery stories through device cameras is really cool. The performances were good and the story was a non-stop rollercoaster ride. I hope they make more movies like this.

The “more period” guy isn’t stupid. Steve just doesn’t speak clearly all the time. I actually thought his answer was fine, because I, like him, thought Steve said, “Let’s talk more…”, not “Less talk more…”. The only way in which the guy might be a BIT dense is that he wasn’t the first one to answer, and the other answers made no sense with “let’s”. So… MAYBE he should’ve figured it out by then.

This show so far is a 10/10. Bella Ramsey as Ellie has surprised me. No disapointment with her. Exactly wat i wanted. Praise all around

What's really cool about the added stuff, wasn't just random bullshit. It helps with the story. So now when we go back and play the game we know how Sarah got his watch, why Joel wasn't at home when Sarah woke from the call, We know what happened before Tess went to Joel's apartment(when we met her for the first time), we know that Joel and Tess are in a relationship(even though we already knew that. lol), we now know what the fireflies plans were when it comes to getting Ellie out of the QZ. As for the very first scene with the scientist that is what Alfred hitchcock(greatest director of all time) called, "bomb under the table analogy." In a nutshell You tell your audience what's going to happen, but you don't just give it to them. you give them little pieces to it here and there. like a ticking time bomb (to build up tension) and at the very right moment you let that fucking go off. in this pilot there are two bomb under the table scenes: The opening scene with the scientist and Sarah's death: What does first bomb do? Makes the build up for the outbreak a lot more noticeable, worrisome, and intense. than when shit hits the fan(bomb goes off), it makes the outbreak more violent. What does the second bomb do? Clearly it changes who Joel is. It makes him more an introverted type of person who doesn't show much emotion. That is until the very last scene when he has the FEDRA officer's gun pointed at him and Ellie and PTSD hits(bombs goes off). his parental instincts kicks in and he beats the guy to death. In that last scene with him showing that type of rage with him being introvert and so emotionless for so long is not only shocking but shows us how much emotion he has kept inside and that it's about to be unleashed.
