Really? On the day that lath was first plastered, I doubt they used that stuff. It's the plaster keys curling around the back of the lath that locks it in place.

I know you did this 4 yrs ago but I was looking at our GX50C tonight. Turn it on, nothing. Can't find an owners manual link via Google for it. Doesn't even show up on their website and the thing is maybe 2 yrs old. The reset hole is at 45* angle and you can't see inside it. No sticker telling you what the hole is either. Stupid engr on their part. Thanks for the video tho. Turns out the darn plug wasn't plugged in. LOL..... But if I have to reset it again, I guess the dark hole is where the button is. Shove a round handle in and hope it works.

Nice video tip. I'm curious - is plaster effectively the same as concrete? I only ask because I've done concrete repair work on my home and in that application a bonding agent is important to bond new concrete to the old concrete. Stucco repair professionals in my area are also careful to use a bonding agent when repairing old stucco walls with a fresh stucco repair. In your application I assumed that the plaster is physically held in place by squeezing behind the lathe and forming keys.

Uncoupling membrane dors just that. It uncouples the tile from the floor. So now the tile is just floating on the floor, it's not attached to the floor. If you use enough thinset on the uncoupler, it's all stuck to the floor anyway. Just use fkexbond, with the cost of the uncoupler it's about the same cost or cheaper overall to use flexbond. And eliminates the VERY messy step of putting the uncoupler in.
