Had a lovely concert for Shetland Fiddle Week a couple of weeks ago, and heres myself and Fraser Jamieson’s ending set we perfomed.
00:00- ‘Cats N’ Rabbits’ a waltz I composed in memory of a lovely Border Collie Dog named Smidge who loved nothing more than chasing cats and hunting rabbits!
02:40- ‘Unnamed’ a slow jig i composed a few years ago which I thought to be a suitable tune to build up our set. Any name suggestions welcome.
03:58- ‘Killarney Boys of Pleasure’ a cracker of an irish reel I originally learnt from the Blazin Fiddles ‘Arran Ceilidh’ set on their album ‘North’.
05:22- ‘Hair of the Dog’ another tune of mine i composed a couple of years ago, you can likely guess how I was feeling that morning!!
06:40- ‘The Silver Spear’ quite possibly my favourite Irish Session reel and a fitting tune to round off the set.
