In the original series Jupiter and Saturn had no intention of sending X out of orbit nor causing any harm at all.
In this AU however it is a bit different, Saturn is a bit cruel (like teenagers can be) and likes to pull pranks since there isn't much to do.
Meanwhile, Jupiters been yelled at and the subject of sun's wrath for awhile. It makes Jupiter want to see, talk, and play with Saturn even more. So when he sees Planet X so close to Saturn, it makes Jupiter extremely jealous.
When Saturn see's that, he sees a chance to mess with both Planet X and Jupiter. So Saturn kind of eggs on Jupiter to be jealous for a bit before Jupiter snaps and rushes his way over to "put X back in his place" away from Saturn.
In turn, this causes the story to then proceed back into the main series events.
