10:10 bravo this is the exegesis i came here for
hope there will be another dlc
gods can make another body easely so why they need dolls?
cant make more children with marica she have lot of free time any way XD
At mohgwyn palace straight up jorkin' it. And by it lets justr say...my tender miquella
Didn’t just beat the allegations, but came out the other side as the victim #justiceforMohg
so it really was just ravings of a lunatic.
Great Video. Especially loved using the butterfly locations to track miquella's movement. And what a sick theme to go with for the DLC in a game showcasing the horrors and futility of violence and strife: The most terrifying thing is if you cant even choose to try.
Why do we think mogh’s body as radahn? He looks nothing like mohg in the boss fight can someone clear this up for me? I don’t get it, it’s clearly radahns body
basically radahns body was rotted too bad to use as is, so miquella used mohg as a kind of clay to make it LOOK like radahn (look at the promised consorts elbows) and put radahns soul into it and puppeted him around (potentially, its still a point of contention if radahn was 100% willing at the time even if he had given consent before turning into a zombie)
@ I see a similarity with the eyes, but what about the elbows? It’s hard to see in google pictures what am I missing.
@ if you look carefully, there are mohg like horns protruding, implying miquella couldn’t completely hide the original bodys true shape
@@rickisnothome ah ok thanks
Your videos are excellent. Have you made an Elden Ring playlist for your videos on the topic? If not, please do it. 👍🏻
Thank you! And that is a good idea, I haven’t made a playlist.
This theory still needs alot of proof, there is alot of stretching, if radagon is marika why would he attack us stopping us from ushering the age of stars? Also Marika's order is the golden order, when people die they go to the erdtree, ranni's order is the natural order, when people die they just die, there is alot of differences between golden age and age of the stars
Fun fact about butterflies: many are carrion eaters (in addition to nectar from flowers). This could be an explanation for why so many are found in the sewers.
You deserve more subscribers and views. Amazing theory and video scenes 🎉
Aww thank you so much!
So glad someone else brought up the nacent butterfly being places were miquella went to. B4 the dlc came out, i kinda pieced together that miquella charmed mogh, as his butterflies are in the sewers and mighwyns palace. But there also at some other, more ominous places. One example is his butterflies are outside of sages cave, wherthe necromancer dude lives, as well as mount gelmir. The implication of these is still something i wonder. But very interesting video
Nice, I just found your channel. Now there's Miss Chalice and yourself with soothing voices while listening to Elden Ring lore. Thank you for the great video. 😃👍
I do like em feisty, though.
For what you say, Marika could just regreat what the greater will "made" her do, making she help Ranni and us for a new path, to not repeat the same mistakes.
I'm not entirely sure how many of the allegations Mohg beat. Sure, he was probably getting Miquellested, but we know from his Great Rune that the pact with the Formless Mother was all him. We only know Ansbach after he was charmed and then set free, we don't know what he was like before the ordeal. But his item descriptions make it clear he was a fighter who relished combat, and he was all about the Formless Mother as well. So the Bloody Fingers may have always been as they are now. As for Mohg, if he aspired to Lordship, he would have needed to be the consort of a god, so he may have had need of an Empyrean anyway, but whether he would have abducted Miquella I cannot say. Ansbach's revulsion at using Mohg's corpse suggests not, but, who can say?
One motif I find very tragic about mohg is his obsession with an old, imagined past. He occupies a crumbling ruin from a long-dead ancient dynasty. He chants in Latin. Essentially, he wishes to elevate his standing through the trappings of an imagined regal past that has no connection to him. Given his brutal childhood, it makes sense that both he and Morgott clung to order in some ways, just in different forms. Perhaps his attempt to brandish the past was his attempt to regain his dignity.
Being gaslighted by my own family I feel extremaly triggered when I hear about manipulation.... even in video game
I did not pay attention to what Mohg said when he kill you before. It really makes everything fall into place.
Your voice and eloquent speech makes me melt tbh 🫠🫠😍❤️
it would appear as though mogh was allot more… sociable and the whole group is fairly sophisticated given how they collectively act.. okina being the exception. This being before Miquella charmed them all. Ansbach well admits that even he was charmed so its possible miquella took control of the whole group, you clearly being the intentional exception… miquella expects someone to at some point kill mogh and radahn for his objective
It’s not easy being a Miquella fan in the post-soet climate but nice to hear someone else who understands
I remember there being nascent butterflies in the realm of shadow. Checking the map there were only 2 in only one cave.
tru girl, never thought about this before, but now that you point it out it all u said makes sense
Thank you! I feel vindicated haha
I don't think the cinematic depicts Marika taking life energy out of corpses, but she is stealing the power out of the Scadu Tree and using it to create the elden ring and what would later become the Erd Tree. This is why the Scadu Tree is twisted and wounded when we go to the land of shadows, because Marika sundered it to achieve her own ambitions, or perhaps the ambitions of the greater will, which may or may not have manipulated her from the start as the outer god parasite it is.
Wow you're a great narrator! Awesome voice!
Thank you!
What is that shot at 0:31?
That was from unleashing the rune of death!
@SilverMooney how do you even do that?
You fight Maliketh!
@SilverMooney well I know that I mean how do you activate it? I dont remember getting a rune from him that you can use. Unless you're talking about that black and red stone thing that looks like a fake fingernail lol. Do you use that for something?
I think miquellas origional.plan was for mohg to stay in the haligtree until Melenia came back so she could kill mohg, but mohg got overzealous in his affection and carved miquella out of the haligtree because miquellas ability doesn't necessarily cause loyalty only affection, and mohg got too focused on miquellas blood watering the haligtree, so he took him and left before Melania came back
OK Ice Doll... >_> I have watched your video.. 1) In regards to Mogh ascending Miquella, I believe Mogh's original plan was to ascend himself. Given Miquella's location being the position the dead ancestral spirits occupy, I would wager he was meant to be some form of sacrifice or offering to the formless mother in his blood crucible (Which is a technology used to pierce the veil/ascend) - And when Miquella awoke to find he had been snatched from his tree (which would die without him) and all hope (of healing his sister, the world, offering godwyn a true death etc) was therefore lost- He seduced the seducer and, made the best of the worst situation. (Lets remember, even after attaining godhood, Miquella still needs to be in proximity to those he charms- So Mogh DID kidnap him) As per Mogh's remembrance, he received NO response from Miquella. 2) I think his ORIGINAL idea was to ascend to adulthood via the haligtree.... I have heard theories that the actual manner by which he did this after the haligtree was destroyed, was through Mogh... sharing his bed chamber... the japanese translation of Mogh's remembrance is more.. direct. But he came into s3kshual maturity via Mogh............. :| This is what Mogh essentially forced upon him... After all, he is literally inside of miquella when we meet him :( (Which I think may indicate [or at the very least demonstrates it is possible] Mogh's original intention to use Miquella's body to ascend originally- He is literally able to be inside of his body *vomits* ) 3) I think Mogh struck DURING the Caelid "disaster" (Vow being fulfilled imo). Perhaps this is why Radahn endured, to offer Miquella more time to adapt to the horrific situation, and keep Ranni from advancing during the 'set back'. (total speculation, and I have totally different theories about this as well but, still, a thought lol) And look. Finally..... Ansbach is a literal Demon Lord's right hand, of course he would be charming- Every demon lord ever is. He is wearing an actual mask to give off the vibes of a kindly old man- When he is in fact a maiden murdering serial killer. He is an old man who failed his objectively evil master, and is living in regret as a shell of himself after being defeated by Miquella. He is so foul, he would throw away 1000 years of compassion for the WRECK of a world he helped ruin, all because he is sad about Mogh's body being used (He himself said he wasn't even mad he was killed, just about the body being used) - Well, I don't see him shedding a tear over what MOGH did to MIQUELLA's body. Mogh's own remembrance, and the fetal position Miquella is in, don't radiate 'consent'. Conclusion: Allegations not beaten. Go directly to Jail. I enjoyed the video, it was a great distraction from what I am currently working on and I always LOVE getting into Miquella's lore and discussions about it :D Keep going! :D You have a great channel, when I am done with my granny vid I'll absorb ya content ^_^
Thank you for watching @ScumMageInfa! I hear all your points and I am contemplating. Especially the part about the Japanese remembrance being more direct - I need to look into that one. But, glad you still enjoyed the video enough to distract you from what you are working on haha. I'm excited about your granny video!
@SilverMooney It was a much needed distraction ♡ Yes good, contemplate *hands you un alloyed needle*
@ScumMageInfa hahaha 😂 When you start going through my content start with my ‘how Marika manipulated you’ video. Since you inspired me for that one!
@@SilverMooney Noted! ♡ :D
Does he though? Even if Miyazaki came right out and said what was going on would anyone actually get it? Do by getting it do you miss the purpose? Lol who knows? Nothing matters just enjoy the ride, ultimately lore means nothing when you're dead and rotting :3
The way I see who is the "bad guy" question between Miquella and Mohg is that both can be scum bags but maybe not completely evil based on their own respective lore, though clearly Miquella got what he wanted instead of Mohg And I never paid too much attention to the butterfly theory in general but since there are nascent butterflies randomly in the sewers, I think they mean more than meets the eye Though one thing (so far) I haven't seen anyone discuss is apparently Mohg kidnapped Miquella in his infant form and this is specifically shown in the beginning cutscene of Mohg holding a really tiny Miquella and later on mentioned by Gideon but while some can argue that the illustrator might not be completely accurate depicting the events of "The Shattering War" and despite his title of "All Knowing" Gideon is completely clueless on certain topics And all of that can be true but no one argues or says otherwise of this claim and I don't think FromSoftware didn't put this piece of information here for no reason so I have to ask: Wouldn't Miquella hate for his transformation to be interrupted, reverting even younger than he already was? And even more disturbingly did Mohg look at infant Miquella and think "oh yeah I'd marry this" (That would make Mohg look even worse if this is the case 💀) But what do you think?
Excellent video! My favorite part was how Mohg is a Strategic player of the Game of Thrones! I feel like this aspect of his character, and others, are overlooked, and I am happy to see it represented here! Overall, good character analysis. Keep up the good analytical work! Edit: forgot to add - Miquella doesn't actually need to travel to places to charm people. His bewitching branches are branches after all, and you can find tree roots everywhere. That's how I see it.
Thanks so much @JackisaMimic! The most surprising part in my research was also that Mohg was a strategic player in the Game of Thrones! I'm glad you liked that part! Ahh so you are saying that Miquella charmed Mohg just through branches and didn't actually have to meet him in person? That is interesting. If that's the case, then Miquella is truly the most powerful person in the game, I think more so than Marika. And then, is it safe to say that his power is what ultimately led to his downfall?
@@SilverMooney I don’t think it led Miquella his downfall, he did everything he needed to do so we could see his memory :)
Well I’m excited to see how it all comes together in your new video!
I love the fact that Mogh's dying animation is the same as us getting charmed
It is?! That's so cool I didn't realize that
I was going to bring that up as well. I noticed it when I went to the dlc again.
INCREDIBLE THEORY, but I just have one question. At 20:17 you say Miquella was in Mogngwyn palace before he ever was in the cocoon. How does that work? If Miquella had already charmed Mohg why would Mohg steal him back? He was already there.
So I think Miquella first sought Mohg out in the Sewers, and then Mohg probably invited him to the Mohgwyn palace before Miquella went into the Haligtree. Probably there to discuss the scheme and that's where I think Ansbach tried to challenge Miquella but got charmed himself. And then after that Miquella went into the Haligtree but had planned for Mohg to rip him out. At least that is my theory anyway!
@ Why did Miquella choose Mohg?
@@hhowdyUnknown, hidden and surpressed demigod that could help him get to the Shadow realm. It's perfect for scheming and to have an alternative for a vessel for his consort.
Can you show some bobs like the other ER lore woman?
Dung Eater spotted
You think people watch her for the lore?@@Zythryl
I haven't shown my face yet so why else would people watch me lmao
Cursed with red hair doesn’t seem so bad compared to the others lol.
lol right
So the femboi twink was a dom top all that time huh
opening with a todd quote got my sub lmao
Mogh can’t become a god because he wasn’t an empyrean. Only Ranni, Melania and Miquella had that potential.
I think Mogh was similar to his twin in personality. Honerable
Im glad Daddy Mohg beat the allegations
RE: 16:40 -- The reason it had to be Miquella that ascends and not Mohg, is because he is not an Empyrean, so even with the Formless mother he couldn't take on the role of God.
Exactly!
Yep. Elden Ring defines a god in part as an Empyrean who takes a Lord as consort. Rykkard, the other demigod who the game calls Lord, married the serpent god, a la the Sunken Valley Clan from Sekiro.
