In German, personal pronouns change depending on their function in a sentence. Let’s break it down: 1. Nominative Case (Subject) This is the “who” or “what” performing the action. • ich (I) • du (you, singular informal) • er/sie/es (he/she/it) • wir (we) • ihr (you, plural informal) • sie/Sie (they/you formal) Example: Ich lerne Deutsch. (I am learning German.) 2. Accusative Case (Direct Object) This answers “whom” or “what” is directly affected by the action. • mich (me) • dich (you) • ihn/sie/es (him/her/it) • uns (us) • euch (you, plural informal) • sie/Sie (them/you formal) Example: Kannst du mich verstehen? (Can you understand me?) 3. Dative Case (Indirect Object) This answers “to whom” or “for whom” the action is done. • mir (to me) • dir (to you) • ihm/ihr/ihm (to him/her/it) • uns (to us) • euch (to you, plural informal) • ihnen/Ihnen (to them/you formal) Example: Er gibt mir ein Buch. (He gives me a book.) Mastering these pronouns is key to speaking fluent German! 💪 Practice them in sentences, and you’ll get the hang of it soon! 😊 #GermanGrammar #GermanPronouns #DeutschLernen #GermanCases #Nominative #Accusative #Dative #LearnGerman #GermanGurukul #DeutschMitAiyub #PersonalPronouns #B1German #GermanLanguage #DeutschGrammatik #LanguageLearning #StudyGerman #SpeakGerman #GermanForBeginners

1. Verb + Preposition: Many German verbs are used with specific prepositions. For example, sich freuen auf (to look forward to), denken an (to think about). 2. Da-Compounds: If the preposition relates to something that is not a person, you can use a da-compound. For example, darauf (on that/about that), daran (about that), damit (with that). 3. Zu + Infinitive: Add the particle zu in front of the infinitive form of the verb to express purpose, intention, or necessity. Examples: ‼️ Ich freue mich darauf, ins Kino zu gehen. (I’m looking forward to going to the cinema.) • freuen auf (to look forward to) • darauf (on that/about going to the cinema) • zu gehen (to go) ‼️Er denkt daran, das Buch zu lesen. (He is thinking about reading the book.) • denken an (to think about) • daran (about that) • zu lesen (to read) ‼️Ich hoffe darauf, ihn bald zu sehen. (I hope to see him soon.) • hoffen auf (to hope for) • darauf (for that) • zu sehen (to see) ‼️Sie bereitet sich darauf vor, die Prüfung zu bestehen. (She is preparing to pass the exam.) • vorbereiten auf (to prepare for) • darauf (for that) • zu bestehen (to pass) Try translating these - 1. He is afraid of failing the test. 2. She is planning to visit her parents. 3. I am thinking about quitting my job. 4. They are hoping to buy a new car. 5. We are preparing to start a new project. 6. She is looking forward to meeting her friends. 7. He is considering moving to a new city. 8. They are working on improving their skills.

The phrase “Das ist nicht mein Bier” is a popular German idiom that literally translates to “That’s not my beer.” However, it means “That’s not my problem” or “That’s none of my business.” Germans use this phrase to distance themselves from a situation they don’t want to get involved in. Examples: •Dein Streit mit dem Chef? Das ist nicht mein Bier. (Your argument with the boss? That’s none of my business.) •Was sie in ihrer Freizeit macht, ist nicht mein Bier. (What she does in her free time is not my problem.) “Das ist nicht mein Bier” - when you just want to sip your coffee and avoid the drama! 🍺😎 Learn more fun German phrases at #GermanGurukul.

“Struggling to differentiate between ‘Gerichte,’ ‘Gedichte,’ ‘Gesicht,’ and ‘Geschichte’? Here’s a quick guide to clear up the confusion: 1. Gerichte - This means ‘dishes’ or ‘meals.’ For example, ‘Klassische Gerichte’ means ‘classic dishes.’ 2. Gedichte - This refers to ‘poems.’ If you’re talking about ‘Schöne Gedichte,’ you’re discussing ‘beautiful poems.’ 3. Gesicht - This is the word for ‘face.’ ‘Ein freundliches Gesicht’ means ‘a friendly face.’ 4. Geschichte - This stands for ‘history’ or ‘story.’ ‘Eine spannende Geschichte’ means ‘an exciting story.’ Mastering these nuances can make a big difference in your German fluency! 🌟📖 #GermanWords #LanguageLearning #GermanGrammar”
