I think I know of this skip. Ultimately, I don't think it matters much, because you need to wait for the slimes anyway in the lower part of the level.

@@Bentheman24 Yeah. The run by Seanthebeast300 was done with a lot of new techniques/strats that we found during the last few years. This TAS run doesn't use those strats, and is severely outdated.

Thanks! Dash is indeed powerful. Especially when you utilise the "double dash" - you dash from the ground, and you have a time frame where you can dash again in the air.

I'm not sure what you mean. By the way, there is a faster speedrun that took me 2:30 hours to complete, so maybe watch that one if you want.

Hi there! Again, don't compare this clip to any of your childhood playthroughs (I can promise you my childhood playthroughs were the same as yours). First, I'm using the "soul amulet" item which is completely broken, and deals 9,999 damage to any enemy or boss. Sure, everyone could use this item, but how many people actually knew about it back in the day? Especially when you consider that items don't have meaningful descriptions, and most items and skills in this game are garbage. Second, I'm using a glitch that I accidentally discovered by myself, which I call "invincible Frederik". I'm setting the fight in a very specific way that allows me to beat it at a very low level. That is because I make Frederik be almost invincible, after everyone else in the party died (he actually gets hit, but only get 8 damage each time). Don't ask for technical details, I still have no idea why that happens. Third, you can see another glitch where I fight Zorom and Talk to Gevolda at the same time. This glitch isn't necessary at all for the previous glitch, but it was still so funny so I included it in the video.

Yes! It doesn't work against "aggressive" enemies (which are the minority), but you can use it most of the time. It also works when you fight any boss from its left side.

@@or3213 when i was a kid, it was take so much time just to reach thais with full exploration to level up because the mountain monsters so high level... I remember back then, at my first run, I'm stuck at vampire castle because i can't run through the monster plus the path is so narrow

@@hito-sama For sure. Me (and probably every other AP player in existence) have faced those exact same problems. All the monsters are so tough when you fight them the normal way. They also give so little exp, so the grind to higher levels was painful. Don't feel bad watching this speedrun and don't try to compare it to your childhood playthrough - The glitches/exploits and the routing took a long time to find and plan. This speedrun took over tenths of hours to cook.

This is still my best run of the game, although I found a way to save ~11 seconds in a certain level, forgot which one. I posted a separate video of that level.

@@or3213 I saw that one. I almost beat your this time today using that strategy. It actually crazy how fast you are in the last 4 levels though bc if I hadn’t thrown the game I would’ve barely beat 2:37.

I was even with you through lvl 10, pulled way ahead on 11, then you almost got it all back compared to me on 12 and 13

They are the level of your existing characters. If you leave them behind and recruit someone else, they will remain the level they were before you abandoned them.

This is probably the hardest level in the game. What don't you manage? Stand at the very edge of the floor with the flames, or kill the bat?

@@jamesdemella2290 There is no autosplitter, I manually did all the splits during the run. If you ask what is the program for the splits, it's called "Livesplit". Most speedrunners use that one.

I prefer the original music, before Aveyond was a thing. It had Loreena McKennitt's Mummers Dance in it. It also used some copyrighted music and sprites. But the music in that version was on another level.

Thanks! Just note that this particular video wasn't done in one go, I did some attempts for each segment and then combined the successful ones together. Usually I can complete the secret ending with around 5-6 deaths.
