Before the franchise system ruined things, Skegness used to have summer Saturday trains from all over the UK. 12 carriages were the norm back in the day They were the days of the railways providing a full service where passengers came before profits The passengers didn't go away. The services went away thus forcing passengers to give up on the railways. They aren't coming back.

Some of my opinions: The prr E6 -looks better than the C1 Atlantic -American 4-4-0s like Jupiter look ugly as hell. -There aren’t enough 2-6-0 Moguls with inside motion(I’m a James fan if you couldn’t tell) -The 08 shunters have overstayed there welcome cause they look like they came out of Minecraft💀 -Amtrak makes the best electric passenger engines in terms of pure looks. -and lastly Union Pacific needs to run more test trials with Big Boy because the limits they put up for it changed more than the taff vale tank engines after the swindon rebuilds

Good video of the old girls at work. I managed to get a ride on 507014 and 023 to and from Liverpool this Saturday. It did cross my mind they could be my last rides on 507s. It was a 7014 moment at Southport on Saturday, 507014 was on P1, while 777014 was on P2. I've had to get across the footbridge at Ainsdale pretty smartly on more than one occasion when a 49 has been first in the queue at the level crossing, and I didn't want to miss it.
