I think what's amazing about your story unc is that, God transformed your father's life, enough so that he could still be an example of strength and perservance at a time when you needed it during your cancer/hospital stay. I'm also glad that you allowed your dad to embrace his relationship with Christ, but I can imagine you wrestling with giving your dad grace because his first 20+ years in your life weren't the same as his last ten.

I might be getting ahead of myself, but uncle carlos, i dont believe that your mission started in graduate school. God had already put aomething in you (and into all of us) a mission to complete. You were just able to put was already coursing through you, on pen and paper. I believe that you were already on mission, long before you wrote that statement 25 years ago. Legacy is about future generations seeing how you walked in and walked out your faith, and not just talked about it
