What a pleasure this was for me… a 77 year old semi philistine who had never heard of Garth until about 3 hours ago when I was blown away by his performance on the BBC podcast PRIVATE PASSIONS. I have listened to this weekly radio programme/podcast for 30 years: all manner of worthy souls (often major celebrities) are chosen to discuss their favourite classical music choices for an hour. I have never missed a single episode. So trust me when I say that Garth’s episode was amongst the top five or six in 30 years. Riveting. And thus I might have expected this interview here to be somewhat of an anticlimax. But oh no… far from it. I hung on every word (even if the baby did not!)… and his insights here were helped by a warm interlocutor. Bravo to the two of you. (Dai Woosnam, Grimsby, UK)

Thank you for your view. One part of the equation, that has not been invited to the table, are true people with chronic conditions. There are people with conditions that have no cure. We now have a Rx med shortage of 323 meds. I have fought against the PDMP in this state. I would like to talk with you to expand on other dimensions to this topic.

All these smart people just have no clue what the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act did and what through amendment it is now. It was the key to socializing all medicine and no one even questions it anymore unless they get trapped in it and then usually it's too late and the patient is already under censorship

not sure how the algorithms were so able to keep so many people from this remarkable book which is such an anomaly: a funny, entertaining, & revealing History about much of this country's story, kept secret from its citizens, but especially its BLACK citizens! amazing read, but more amazing that its never been revealed til now... 😮

Honolulu, HI (yes we are friendly in the Aloha State - "HI" is our name) is next on Dr. Carmichael's book tour. We look forward to seeing, learning, and discussing with her on March 7, 2024. And then she's off to Maui, a place where after the Lahaina wildfire so need trees in its recovery.

I am 55 years old HETEROSEXUAL woman. I HATE and do not accept the term cis. I have a 15 years old DAUGHTER who agrees with her gender. School in MA provided “The Spirit Bares it’s Teeth”. Trapped Mary and Silas with their life being threatened and Silas can only think about a…hysterectomy?…😂🤣😂 it makes NO sense. However, Mary is a good and interesting character who end up being married to a dead girl? Why a love one would not want for the living to continue living and find someone to share LIFE? In the 70’s a cesarean was from top to bottom… Isabella does an abortion to herself? So this is the Corpse Bride meets Yentl and Six Sense… because “I can talk to dead people…” Again, Mary made me laugh and appreciate a few chapters but the book is not that awesome. It is just a trans kid whose fears (Rabbit) express everything with the F word so many times. So, Andrew’s value comes mostly for having transgenders to be the main characters. Seen better ones in “Big Sky” and in “All we had”. To me, Mary was stronger than Silas and as Silas states “Not very masculine”. I see Silas like a potential De-trans character and Daphne… I won’t even go that way.

Have you considered that maybe you don't vibe with the book because you don't share the experiences in the novel? That maybe it's not meant for you as a cisgender individual to consume because you're not transgender? Also cisgender means that you agree with your AGAB (assigned gender at birth), not your sexuality. Silas is also autistic, so his inner monologue about a hysterectomy is a coping skill from something traumatic. Also, trans people don't necessarily have to follow strict gender roles/stereotypes.

I just read this book, after hearing Tyreiek on the Friendly City Podcast. I am not sure what I was expecting, but it hooked me on the first page. The sentences sound like poetry, and draw you in before you realize you've been hooked. They work like a spell, weaving you into thoe story and then quietly spring on you the reality that you are dealing with people who SEE more perfectly that others around them. The book blew me away, and I can't ay enough good thigns about it! Grab a copy as soon as you can!

This represents the ideological corruption of sociology and almost all academia today. They refuse to face the truth, which is just too painful. They'd rather blame the system. They'll avoid blaming the individuals or the failing neighborhood culture. It reminds me of my little brother growing up. He could never beat me at anything. Of course he couldn't. He was over two years younger. So he'd whine and try to change the rules so he could win.

My name is Robert Lohr, pianist for Chuck Berry from 1996 until he retired in 2014. Last week a friend told me that I'm mentioned/quoted several times in this unauthorized Chuck Berry biography. I read most of the book and found it entertaining...that is until Mr. Smith claimed in a footnote that he had interviewed me in April 2018. Please be advised that to the best of my knowledge/recollection I have never met nor spoken to Mr. Smith nor did he ever interview me via any medium. I remember his name specifically because a friend had contacted me on his behalf to ask whether I wanted to speak to Mr. Smith in connection with a book he's writing on Chuck. Told the friend I don't give interviews about Chuck & respectfully declined. Bottom line: I never spoke to Mr. Smith re: Chuck Berry in April 2018 or on any other date.

Tell me everything is the best story I've read in a long, long time. Each scene is a remarkable character study; each development is shocking. Told with incredible psychological insight, this book is an unstoppable inquiry that delivers justice for many and, finally, peace. I like your therapetic output to reach out to people, but as far as I see it in the case of murder mayheim it's conflicting. You use the word peace what does that define once your use to mayheim?
