Rivendell Bicycle Works
Приєднався 2 лют 2022
We've been bucking trends with lugged steel bicycle frames, wool cycling clothes, cotton bike luggage and leather saddles ever since 1994. In an industry that introduces revolutionary technological advances every season, we've stuck to what works and have flown the flags of safety, comfort and lasting value for over twenty something years. These things don't get old, even when technology does. Rivendell bikes are designed to be used hard and handed down for generations of riders. And behind the fancy paint you'll find a commitment to quality, supply-chain responsibility, and a healthy work environment for our staff. Give us a call sometime or visit us in Walnut Creek, California.

How to Measure Your Pubic Bone Height (PBH) in About a Minute
Переглядів 9 тис.Рік тому
Pubic Bone Height (PBH) is easier to define than "leg length." (Inner leg or outer? Floor to...where? And so on.) PBH is the distance between a hard floor and your pubic BONE. Your pubic bone is inside, so you can't see it. But with a little time, you can measure it. read more here: www.rivbike.com/pages/pubic-bone-height-how-to-measure-your-pbh no shoes please

James and Will got to tour the Nitto Factory in Fukushima. They both wrote blogs about it that I'll link below. James got this video of noodle bars being made. I think Rivendell has been ordering this bar since the early 2000's www.rivbike.com/blogs/news/james-japan-pics www.rivbike.com/blogs/news/wills-japan-pics

A reupload of a video ca.2018 "Last Sunday it rained early in the afternoon, and friend Dan and I were off our intended course and came to a puddle. I didn't know what to expect, but he shot this with his iPhone. He followed, and I shot him with a real camera." - Grant

Tange Cup and Cone Bottom Bracket Installation
Besides the bikes, I like the no helmet approach to the Mountain.
No music back sound, cool!
Will this work with say 10 speed mtb/road derailleur?
90% of people would be happiest on a Rivendell, and sadly they will never know it.
My goodness, that looks fun.
Bet you wish you were on your bikes though!
Affordable real estate
diving through a nuclear wasteland where they picked up 30 million one ton bags of radiation means you will get sick in the future
Jadi pingin bikin. Dua speed
long way from home
This is a good video. I'm glad it exists. Here's to this video inspiring more relaxed riding with friends, and less racing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
If a man is shifting, he's a derailleur. If a woman is shifting, she's a derailleuse.
My axle was supposed to come in today. I was frustrated enough to almost put in the pitted one I'm short two ball bearings to go keyless on each side
Check the alignment at the 6, 12, and 9 o'clock positions, that's all you need. You're allowed up to 3mm in deviation for most indexed derailleurs to still perform accurately. 3mm is a tiny amount given you're multiplying the actual difference at the hanger by measuring it much further out with such a long lever...
Just like the old quote from someone: ONLY STEEL IS REAL
Carbon Reinforced And Polymer. Why do they never use the initials?
Why the and?
@@harrie205 CRAP.
@@Metal-Possum but there is no and (so there is no crap) the polymer is reinforced with carbon
Are the upper and lower bearing cups interchangeable? I ask since two top cups were sent in my order (from a non-Riv store).
Yes!
13mm fits the cone
Thank you, James. Note, the rear derailer hanger is Spencer's favorite tool.
Important to make sure the wheel is true first, right?
If you're worried, spin the tool and the wheel at the same time. That way that one part of the rim you're measuring will always be a constant. Make sure your hubs don't have any play in them first though.
I see no women working in the shop?? other video!! or rides !!
Uh, wait a second.... what about setting the crown race?
A Gentleman's ride..
The stoopid package makes it look like the bearings face the other way! I should’ve watched THIS first. Oh well, live and learn.
Up the 33 I see . #rbw
any advice on how to care for the ratchets? thanks!
Is it normal for the fork to have a little bit of play? The feel is about 1mm up and down, left and right when shaking the fork.
you want it so spin freely with no play. If there is play, it's too loose. Tighten it just enough to get rid of the play Thanks for asking!
That boy don’t play!
No audio?
are these the bosco or tosco bars? Thanks! ☮
58 Bosco!
осталось намазать ГАВНОМ и новый писк обеспечен .
Wow. Stunning! Are these taken with Infrared filter?
Thanks! :) The b+w photos were all taken with Ricoh GR's, mine and sergio's - James
I must explore this part of Walnut Creek
Beautiful! Taking pictures on a "hilly ride" is the best way, known, to catch your breath. BTW, Will jogging up the road, PASSING the rider, is a fantastic HIIT workout! Very au courant.
Shell ridge?

bravo James. My fave among many fine videos from Riv over the years. Feels like a ride..
Many thanks! - Jams
This is poetry in motion ❤
