Never got over Bobby Byrds "I Need Help! Can't do it Alone!!!"..We Love You Bobby!!!! 💞 ❤️
No James Brown without Bobby Byrd
Actually, a record executive suggested that James Brown go solo (& leave the Flames behind) as he was the lead singer & great dancer already. Basically saying that the other members were dead weight & James was a star on his own!! James Brown reached back to Bobby & the Flames stating "there is no James Brown w/o the Flames", we are a Group!!
Yes i have one of the best
Great tribute
That's awesome.
Nice video. I’m always interested in hearing about artists that worked with JB since he is such an iconic figure and an inspiration to people like me that grew up listening to his music.
Byrd and Brown = Pippen and Jordan?
Not surprised so many entertainers have been ripped off by their bosses 🚬
Also, Raven Symone gave him a shoutout in her 1993 album. Also also, he Appeared in rolling 200 Deep by Dj Kay Slay. RIP
Brother, thank you... class, character, good soul and definitely a good heart you have for giving Mr. Bird, his recognition... he will never be forgotten by me and mine.
I love this and let me just add one correction: Many people believe that James Brown would never have had the same level of success without Bobby Byrd. That’s incorrect. The truth is that James Brown would have never been heard of AT ALL without Byrd. Byrd discovered James and gave James a career. Without Bobby Byrd, there’s a strong possibility that James would have stayed in prison and become a career criminal. That’s Bobby Byrd’s contribution to music
Thank you for paying tribute to the amazing Bobby Byrd. I am the founder of the record label Samarian Entertainment, and the biggest James Brown fan alive, but I am also a huge fan of the incomparable Bobby Byrd. I happen to be one of the few people who knows the history of this legendary artist and his contribution to the career of James Brown and to music in general. His official title should be “The Pioneer of Soul”❤
I'm about to watch it again...🥳
Thank You!🤯 😏🤯
Bobby was The Man. “I Know You Got Soul.”
WHAT WE WANT, ❤SOUL POWER, WHAT WE NEED, ❤SOUL POWER 😁😁❤😁😁
Not saying James Brown wasn't incredible but he appeared to have taken not given credit or taken care of Bobby Byrd and the Flames; are they all at least in the R&R HOF by name?
Someone said Bobby Byrd probably saved James life!
Byrd was the hype man but not just that 🫡
"If You Don't Work, You Can't Eat" is my favorite song by Bobby Byrd. My brothers played this and actually this is what life is kinda about
Mr Bobby Byrd what's a great man. James Brown was truly blessed to have Mr.Brown as a friend. 😢😢😅😅 R.I.P.
I visited James Browns band with Bobby Bird in the concert hall of Amsterdam 1970. Fantastic workmanship together. And dont forget with Lynn Collins. Later I saw Bobbybirdband with his wife, ladysinger, in Maastricht in his old age.⁷
Bobby i know you got soul Byrd 🎵
Otis Blackwell is another one he created Elvis Presley songs and singing style he didn't get noticed until the 80s abd they thought he was lying......until they heard Dont Be Cruel which was one of Elvis big hits.....he never got credit or royalties for it you right about Jermaine
Yeah Subway was real quick after the collab 702....i love your list i would do ab honorable mention 1.Frankie Lymon and the teenagers their career was 18 months 2. The Ponderosa Twins they lasted one album Kanye used a sample of the song "Bound" 3. Brighter Side of Darkness they had a big hit with "Love Jones" then they were gone
HEY MY GOOD BROTHER... YOU FORGOT THE PRINCE OF SOUL... MR MARVIN GAYE!!! JUST ASK THE LADY'S...😊😊😊
I like Bobby birds I can't Get enough 👍🏾
No Bobby Byrd no James brown it that simple
Byrd could. Dance like. Hell😊
Get uppah.....
Bobby Byrd all time favorite
There yall go! Steve Cropper influences in full swang.
This one is killer too ! ❤️🔥💣💣💣
Thank you so much for the support!!!
Real good information, Bobby Byrd l always liked his singing as well as James Brown, didn’t like the way JB treated his musicians, l saw Bobby Byrd perform 1 times with James Brown in Seattle Washington back in the 80’s at the Show Box, never saw Bobby Byrd live after that, l don’t understand, well maybe l do, that entertainers make it and treat people so bad, l guess it’s a all about me thing?
It all starts with FBA‼️😂😂
Americans don't play reggae and that's a fact.
My question for Mr. Byrd is: if Mr. Brown was that bad, how come he couldn’t leave very early on, and forge his own career??
He knew he could be a good performer but recognized JB,s talent and knew JB could take them to the next level and beyond. That is why JB became the lead and star of the group. It's a shame that Bobby was not rightfully compensated for his part in the group as well as the others.
Gotta mention early Three 6 Mafia. Lord Infamous is so forgotten in the community but he was inspirational in the early 90s. Smaller acts like KGP, Bedlam and Defekt are the shits I grew up on. Along with everything Hatchet, obviously.
I think he purposely left out lord infamous and 3 6 mafia. 🤔🤔🤔
How'd you miss ALL OF THE 2000'S😭😭
le plus grand duo de l'histoire de la soul musique
Mr Byrd’s voice is phenomenal! Thank you for sharing this video! ❤
🔥🔥🔥🔥
James Brown was selfish. He didn’t pay him right
Tech 9 doesn't even get a mention? Wack
America started it first😅. See Jamaicans!! I told you!!😂 I still don't understand how roscoes rhythm + mento/calypso = ska though, and would like to!
Sorry American don't play mento ska rock steady or reggae basement dancehall where's is the American reggae?
Same thing with Salsa in Harlem
Please do not sleep on Simken Heights
Ganksta NIP. Check out his first album "The South Park Psycho" It is the craziest album of all time by far. I have and do listen to most of the groups talked about here.
