I think getting the Brazilian visa is not that difficult like getting visa in a European country. Just provide the necessary docs and proof of funds. If you want to apply for a student visa, it should be easier so far you have gotten admission to a brazilian university...

The free portuguese class I usually attend here is anchored by an NGO here.. You can't use that Portuguese class for residency. Because I think for the portuguese class to be seen as a standard course it has to meet some teaching hours requirement just like some normal courses.

I asked the expert now. He said after you successfully switch your tourist visa to digital nomad residency, your family can get a family reunion residency (dependency) through your own Digital Nomad Residency.. And your residency is renewable.

Traveling to any country is dependent on what reason you're traveling into that country.. For career, fun, school, business and all. Then you decide the route & it's flexibility. I'm not into travel visa & residency business. Talking about the crime rate, only the stats gives the rate but personally for me, I've not had any criminal experience. Some would have experienced some issues. The area you live, you visit matters

There's no issue being black.. You can live anywhere... São Paulo is very big, so I'll only say areas I remember & I've been.... Faria Lima, Pinheiros, José Bonifácio, Avenida Paulista, Itaquaquecetuba, Santa Cruz And so on.. Most places are safe.
