we move to a small 2 bed flat in 2013 was told it was only a temp move i have twin girls they was 5 when we moved now they are 16 only now have we been offered a house this system is so wrong 11 years we have been stuck on a 2nd floor loft style flat . as a result my kids suffered no garden no personal space limited space in the home ,, they are so excited .. meanwhile i know at least 5 families that have moved just to different streets not needing a move just wanted it ,,, we have been at breaking point so hoping this move will help with my girls mental health and tbh me and my partners .. its hard to be intimate living in such a tight space

Been going through this for 2 years I was even ranked #1 and was offered the flat 2 hours before I was due to go to there office to sign up for it they called me and told me an emergency came up and had to offer to someone else. And every home I have been to view I was ranked #2 and the person in front of me at the viewing was a migrant I'm disabled and still homeless

Unfortunately this is the world (country) we live in. you have to be prepared to do/say whatever it takes to get what you want. if the people at the top do it don't you think the little people like us need to take heed. The system doesn't care about honesty, it only cares about numbers; whether its money, data capture etc. You have to understand the days are coming where there will be less and less real people on the end of the phone or computer communicating with us regarding the issues, queries and concerns we have about housing for example. Artificial intelligence will be able to do all these things and whilst I don't think Ai will care for honesty initially, the only requirement will be to tick the correct boxes. Do what you have to do for you and yours. the Government, politicians, counsellors, scientists etc all do, so why won't you? If you don't, you will lose every time and if you don't, it won't be the great. Mediocre at best.

I’m living in Cornwall and working in Somerset, I’ve been on the wait list for council housing and bidding every week, it’s coming up to 2 years of solid bidding. I’m a charity worker on a low income, there’s no way I’d be able to afford private rent or get onto the property ladder. I’m also sick of paying rent for a bedroom in a shared house, for 2 reasons. 1. I’m 33, and I’ve worked my entire adult life (and actually way before turning 18) I deserve to be able to afford a have a basic/ standard of living, including not sharing one cupboard, one draw in a freezer, one shelf in the fridge in a shared cramped kitchen, or having to carry a toothbrush and toothpaste / washing toiletries into a shared bathroom everytime I want to meet a basic need of washing. 2. Private rent for a bedroom in a shared house (in my generation) has been the same price as those lucky enough to OWN their own home/ price of their mortgage AND their own bathroom, kitchen to boot (unless they choose to). I’m so frustrated that I am constantly overridden by other bidders who have the same banding as me; and often, they haven’t been bidding as long as me. The system is totally unfair. I’ve tired to speak to Somerset council but it doesn’t get me anywhere. I’m pretty sure that my need 99% of the time; higher than those who are on the same band as me, they aren’t commuting from Cornwall. Honest hard working (low income) people like me should get a break.

What I find unfair is the fact that 5 or so people are brought to a viewing .... without being told whether they will definitely have an opportunity to actually see the property (due to them being 1st, 2nd, 3rd in queue) or be able to take it if offered. That's harsh on all those coming who have organised their day around the appointment and built up emotion around it!

I can see why you feel that those who bid earlier in the week should be prioritised over those later on, but surely the ultimate deciding factor is priority need for housing at the point when the bidding closes? There are many people whose health is being directly jeopardised by living in current place and so moving quickly is a life changer and maybe even a life saver!

Hi , I'm currently staying on Church Street, at number 111, above the Ice cream parlour next to Hamond's. I thought you'd like to know that in the 4 nights that we have stayed here so far ,I have seen a figure, my book has moved by itself and a bedside light has turned itself on and off several times. I have been woken up every morning, very early around 3am . It's not a bad feeling and the place has a friendly feeling,but there is 100% something here. Xxx

I tried the paratek app..doesn't work at all. It is a scam. All it does is generate random words at random times. And It happens way too often to even be believable. None of it makes sense or reflects any questions I asked. Bunch of B's. That one was one of the first apps this guy mentioned so I don't even bother trying any of the others.

He’s sayin the priority listing should go to the fastest or first person to show interest , basically if ur on at midnight and bid ur first in line , it doesn’t work like that ! First they go on highest band , then they prioritise the people who have waited the longest
