You can if you want put a red tiger lotus in there for a big red pop. If you dont want the surface pads and only underwater growth just trim back what you dont want. Just a idea but i wanna see where this goes it already looks awesome

Was wanting to do a 300 inside my house for Africans, was going for to run 1 or 2 fx6’s, seen online there is a minimum requirement for the filter top to be below the water level? Do you set the fx6 on the ground next to the tank?
Im gonna do exactly this with fx6 for my 10 pirahnas ..alot cheaper than a 200+gal tank set up 😂 ill just go savage all driftwoods at the beach lakefront lol

I just got a 300 gallon stock tank so I can set up an outdoor pond for my common pleco. She's too big for the 75 gallon aquarium now. I've got so much work to do.

I’m getting the exact same one my only question is how do you keep warm during cold weather and cool during hot weather ?
Too keep it warm during cold temps is I’ll throw 2-3 300w eheim jager heaters in there and I got this clear tarp off Amazon and I got some 12in metal stakes from Menards and it worked for temps down to 50 degrees surprisingly just make sure you watch what’s going on temp wise and make sure the tarp is nice and tight so the heat doesn’t except! And how I kept it cold last year it got up to 110 degrees so I put these sunshade tarps over it to block out a lot of the sun and it would get up to 85-90 degrees but the fish adjusted to it and I’ll also run cold water thru it slowly to bring down the temp too! Hopefully that answered your questions😉

It does amazing but if your stocking it a little heavy or with big fish I recommend getting The Pond Guy clearsolution G2 filter system there cheap, energy saving and affective

So if the fish were that small, why did you need to upgrade from 150 t0 300 gallons? The arowana is still pretty dinky. . . . .and did you add any hiding places for the plecos?

Caring for creatures that live in water is next level. We control their entire world. That is heavy if you think about it. You are an amazing adult in training and your fish are real lucky:)

Nice vid! Using a filter will help for sure but as you may see, will not fix the problem by itself. Your algae bloom is likely caused sun and ambient heating of your pond. A lot more plants will help greatly. They provide filtering, shade from sun growing algae blooms, and refuge for fish to hide. Floating plants like hornwort or duck weed can be found for free in lakes and rivers or are super cheap to buy in bulk.. Also they grow super fast too.. If you get wild plants, just rinse thoroughly and I use a 3% hydrogen peroxide bath for about 30 mins, to kill any unwanted crtters. The goldfish will happily eat any bugs or whatnots that are in the plants. Best of luck on your new channel!
