Hi!
I'm just a casual cyclist, not a pro. I got into this sport not too long ago and usually I just cycle with my cycling buddies. We often explore new routes throughout Klang Valley and hope to take on bigger challenges when time comes!

16 Sierra - KLIA 100KM! Kana Drop!
It’s been awhile since I join other cycling group. This time my friend invite me to join his group for the weekend 100km ride. Boy they are fast! Well at least for me.
I think I’ve been in my comfort zone for quick some time now as usually, best I can do at my own pace was around 35-36km/h. During Letape Melaka, I tried to hitch on a fast peloton moving around 40-43km/h and I got dropped right after the climb. So when my friend invite me to join his group, I did not hesitate and would like to challenge myself.
Keeping up to their pace for me is not easy, most of the flats we were going around 41-45km/h, my heartbeat was pumping fast and I’m trying to keep it within safe limit yet still trying to keep up to them. KLIA loop pass by so fast 😂 It was definitely my fastest time passing by the KLIA runway and even completing this 100km, it was my personal best.
I only manage to keep up with them up to 90km and then I got dropped. While cruising back, I still manage to pedal at my usual pace, 34-35km/h but they were nowhere to be seen 😂 Some of them did wait for me at the last junction before heading back to 16 Sierra, at that point, I felt the tingling on my thighs right above my knees and that’s when I know I’m about to cramp. I did manage to reach back to our starting point, did some stretching to avoid cramp.
Overall, this ride is definitely getting out of my comfort zone and trying to be better but one ride like this is definitely not enough, need to join them more often to improve myself. Definitely looking forward to join them again.

L'ETAPE Melaka 2024
Переглядів 1,5 тис.21 день тому
It's my first time participating in L'ETAPE event. The event was well organized, plenty of marshalls, road closure was good, at least for me. And then it rain, heavy downpour, everyone was literally soak! Great experience though. It's also my first time cycling in Melaka, from the town to the suburbs, nice kampung area and the tarmac was good! As usual, we'll try to hitch on a peloton if there'...

It’s my second time to Sekinchan and the first for a few of my friends. Unlike my previous ride, this time we’re taking the back route which is definitely much safer as lesser cars/trucks uses this route but we’ll need to survive the 17km super long stretch road! Its super straight and super flat 😂 It was our first time doing 50km non-stop averaging about 31km/h all the way to the paddy field. ...
Titi Ultra Ride 2024

Participating in the first ever Titi Ultra Ride. Initially I signed up for 100km. I then went for training and decided to opt for 60km instead as I don’t think that I’m ready for 100km with 1600m elevation 😂 This is not your usual cycling event, you’ll have to conquer Bukit Hantu - Genting Peras - Reverse Peras - Reverse Hantu. As I was reaching back to Peras peak, the pros that participate in ...

Yes I’m still around! 😂 It’s just that recently I’ve been training in usual routes, nothing new so no content 😅 So It was Raya week and it has been awhile since our last long ride, hence I’ve decided to cycle to Port Dickson. Started off at Kota Warisan - Salak Tinggi - Pekan Sepang then turning into the road to Lukut. The route was nice, a little hilly heading to Lukut but its manageable. Arri...

I’ve registered for the upcoming Titi Ultra Ride that will be happening end of April. The route basically starts from Batu 14 - Hantu - Peras - Pekan Titi - Reverse Peras - Reverse Hantu. The full category is 100km, after thinking for a while, I’ve decided to change from 100 to 60km 😂 I don’t think I’m ready for 100km of climbs yet 😂 So I went off to try this, Hantu - Peras - Reverse Hantu to f...

It’s my second time participating this event! The goal is to break last year’s record. It was a calm and cool morning. It rained, drove to downtown KL, parked my car, unload my bike, only to find out that I left my helmet at home 😱 Rushed back, grab my helmet and went to the LRT station! It’s 6:20am when the train arrive, race flag off at 6:45am. Arrived Masjid Jamek Station at 6:40am, made my ...

The exit is quite dangerous 😮
Just upgraded from a 520 to the 540 but not liking it so far. My biggest pain point (besides the hard to press buttons and non-intuitive interface) is that the 540 does not automatically power down after disconnecting from the charging cable. With my 520, once I removed it from charging it gave me a 15-second auto power off countdown and then turned itself off. With the 540 lacking this Auto Power Down feature requires me to perform an additional 3-clicks of hard to press buttons to power it down. WHY? This is so annoying. From what I've discovered online, this feature was removed starting with the 530 and users were pissed off then. Now it's carried forward to the 540. Why would Garmin not include an auto power down feature after charging? If I take a turned OFF device and plug it to charge (which it then turns on) and then its completely charged and removed from the charger, it should return to its OFF state. That is only LOGICAL. I can see how lacking this feature its possible to forget to power it down manually and then wake up the next day with a dead device that remained on all night.
Its my first Garmin bike comp but yes, if it have the auto power off will be great! I recall there are auto-off feature but I haven’t deep dive into that settings yet, not sure if the auto power off is available there though. It definitely make sense to auto power off once the charging is complete.
@@Melvpedals I have the auto power down feature on the Edge 520, but this feature was removed on the Edge 530 and also not included on the 540. It's severely dissapointing to me as a 520 user thinking I am "upgrading" to the 540. The 540 does have better sensors. But the buttons and interface navigation are horrible compared to the 520/530.
Can we use it with magsafe?
Can’t. The magsafe magnet not strong enough.
Group cycling is one of the best time spend with good friends
Oh yes! The feeling is just satisfying ❤️
What a ride!
Here’s the 100km experience, NO Hantu NO Peras for next 3 months! Climb till limbeh mau vomit

Glad it was helpful!
6:30 you are riding on the wrong way, it's very dangerous
recently I'm doing hill training at bukit hantu.. I usually do my training in the morning 6am (start from Cheras Selatan) ends around 8+am.. if you want, we can do together..
Sounds like a plan! Usually Sunday?
@@Melvpedals my plan is bukit hantu on weekday, genting highland on weekend.. Need to get myself used to long climb... I can do Bukit Hantu on weekend, need to accumulate at least 2000 elevation (target 3000) per weekend ride

Like it. unreal trip~
Thank you! Yes, pretty nice trip!
Can it be used in portrait mode?
That's a good one. The best is to clip it back in its original position. For portrait I would suggest that you get the mount accessories to flip the gopro or your action cam to portrait position.
ja, einfach um 90⁰ drehen
Great comparison. I got a insta360 but didn't try it with the data yet. Do you do zwift? I do crits, I'll try the camera in next races I subscribed ✌️
Thank you! I haven’t got myself an Indoor trainer yet 🤭 Go include your stats in your video, you’ll love it!
Didn’t know about this path near my home. I’ll try it next time when I go back to Malaysia.

good video, I can tell you doesn't work for running! bounced a LOT! even with stabilization doesn't work very well.
Yeah..even when I do uphill, my body moves more, then the footage appears bouncing, that’s the downside for this strip 🥲
