Großartig! Ich hatte mir 1987 die LP gekauft, die leider verschollen ist. Was für eine tolle Musik!

I thought Turner was dead. He must be really old because he was around Art Tatum's era 30's 40's...
He is. He passed on November 24, 1985.
the best one
Great ! Wonderful !
Big Joe GOLD......T.Y. for posting this to my appreciative ears.
Timeless and superb combination...The albums from Big Joe Turner and Axel Zwingenberger are really fantastic!!
should have been there, awesome!!!
The Joe Turner on the picture is the stride piano player not the blues shouter from Kansas City Big Joe Turner.

Don't include Scotland in that comment please!
Justin Bieber? Lady Gag Gag? Nicki Minaj?
This was not recorded in 1978 (that was the first Turner-Zwingenberger collaboration, resulting in the "Let's Boogie Woogie All Night Long" album), but on May 23, 1981, at Joe Turner's home on the occasion of Turner's 70th birthday.
Heard this on the Radio driving in my car at night around 1984. Boughed the recorder. Loved this since than.
Who the hell dislikes this ?????????
Irelands best

@Hardy415 There's a live version on the 5hr+ Rockpalast dvd, from Loreley 1982. Bitchin' version of Moonchild on that night too.
This sound could have only come out of Northern Ireland and Rory alone could have brought it forth. We were blessed...

@Bumblebee38 Yes, but ain't it somethin' to play with Big Joe Turner...
@hollandziek 22 05 1978 Johnny Otis Engineer Torsten Zwingenberger on drums seems to be a lost tape
Saw this guy in Boston. At the Paradise. Ridiculously great.
Could it be Big Joe Turner before he got really "BIG"? It looks like him!!! The voice is definitely his.
