As a comp player myself, i found some flaws in your gameplay. If you can correct these flaws, you could play like a comp player. #1. You said that moving side to side and jumping makes ur movements hard to read. While this is true, this can become more visible and potent if u use side dashes to begin ur attack and not front dashes. Tip for correcting the Flaw:Side Dash More #2. If someone uses front dash and you block it, dont just m1. When you just m1, it might be fine for newer players. But when paired with comp players, they can abuse a technique called no stun front dash. This happens when your opponents front dash and even when you block, they still can m1. So my suggestion is to counter this play with a m1 and side dash. Tip for correcting the Flaw: Side Dash and M1 as Punish. Tip: When you side dash towards someone and they block, backdash immediately. This is in order to prevent them from punishing ur attack. Perhaps when you get better at the game, you can make this an offensive backdash. This is when you make them think you are going to retreat with your backdash, and then go back to that same position while you are mid backdash animation. This improves your movement GREATLY. For combos, your good.
