I 💯 agree that Baldur's gate 3 is the game of generation and set a benchmark in turned rpg games and pushed the boundaries, it's the only game that deserved goty last year, but the reasons you gave are bizzare, you are downright claiming that linear story game genre are below the open world rpg games and just comparing the length of the games, length of the game doesnt decide its quality, games like god of war, the last of us and uncharted are masterpiece games and won goty against masterpiece open world games like rdr 2, ghost of tsushima because they set a benchmark in their respective linear story games genre

Just finished the story. I enjoyed it but I’ve finished it… and I feel like there’s nothing to keep me going now. Krushing blows - gone. X-Rays - Shorter and a bit dull. Fatalities - Not as epic. Krypt - gone. Stage interactables - gone. I miss the days of Motor Kombat, Stage Fatalities, Stage transitions (remember the yellow line in Deception?), Chess Kombat… I just feel like we’re progressively getting less Kontent and a lot of the fan base seem okay with it because “Krushing blows and Xray moves take up get boring after 1000’s of hours.” WHAT WOULDNT GET BORING AFTER 1000’s of hours?! 😐😐😐

Having 22 characters not including dlc is atrocious mk9 had 26/25 ( kratos give or take) and that was more than a decade ago, base roster should be 30 at this point especially since there is way too much dlc for it to not feel like a cash grab, mk11 had this problem as well

I really dislike how people keep saying that Devs were supposedly saying that they can't make games as good as BG3. That wasen't the guys point. His point was that BG3 is on such a high level, that if you compare the next game in the same genre to it, you're gonna set a bar that simply cannot be met because of how high BG3 set that bar. And the reason Larian was able to get BG3 to that level is for a LOT of reasons that other studios simply cannot meet. Meaning it is unfair to expect it and only setting yourself up for disappointment. I might not be wording it right myself. But my main point is that the point of that dev was a lot more nuanced than most people pretend it to be on first look of his points.

The fact the fights arent 1 on 1. The removal of customization the fact they monetize the shit out of this. The fact they changed an awesome story that people became really familiar and involved with and completely rearranged it. The fact that in mk11 the end fight of every klassic tower is kronika where half of your normal attacks dont work. The fact they jack up the price for sub par performance.

How to enjoy MK1 in 4 easy steps. Step 1. *PLAY CASUAL.* Step 2. Go to towers of time with your favorite character. Step 3. Don't bother with manual skill allocation, just set it to auto till You see subzero and Scorpion with 60 in all stats on the character select. Congrats you're virtually immortal now. Step 4. Massacre all the bots without mercy. Fun achieved. 99% of players don't abide by step 1 and it shows.

One thing I wanna see talked about is WHY tf this game has such a huge space requirement. 160 something gb i think? Idk what freaking fighting game goes over that much.

Kameos are good in theory and I agree that I liked them at first. But then I realized the only competitively viable ones all did the same thing: give plus frames constantly. Once the meta was figured out, kameos became super boring.

I think MK1 has a big potential cuz the graphics characters Colors combos moves ect, but no balance and too many mistake with frames and stuff , also we have the worts community, this game is not a fighting no more , this is mess and this is why this is a game for only casual situations, also the kameo thing doesn’t work , the tournaments are terreble I can’t verly watch 3 matches and it gets bored cuz it’s such a mess , the best thing can happens it’s bring back UMK3 wich is the only good Mortal kombat for competitive matches tournaments. I don’t hate MK1 but I don’t consider this a pro game and there’s should be none tournaments for this cuz it doesn’t make any sense

Aesthetically MK should look like an old kung fu/horror B' movie, Game wise it should play like MK9 MK1 is unrecognisable as an MK game and has nothing of the elements that we loved in the old games .

The game is hated because people online don't want to be hit and be in a fight so they complain the loudest. Mk crowd is scrubby and meta at the highest levels and don't embrace the game of the present and die on hills trying to play old mechanics on current games. The crowd is bratty and uncreative as a whole with rare gems interspersed. Ppl don't build synergy they just throw combo and use usually one move at a time. There's so much more to do than throw combo and to live and die by hit confirms... no wonder folks ain't having fun. This is the most technical and creative game they've ever made. It isn't perfect, it had poor first year and the dlc is greedy. But bottom line is folks are bored because they're boring. I'm having a blast throwing scrubs in the garbage with my teams because I embrace it. Get over yourselves!

I love the reworked backstories of the characters but hate everything else. This game feels like a half finished game, repeatedly scrapping and adding useless stuff, reinventing wheels that don't fit the consumers wants and just a lot of content that was present in previpus games were axed

I haven’t liked MK since X, for me 9 resetting and ignoring Armageddon and deception, my favorite games, felt like a slap in the face

I love MK XL and MK 11. The new one was so dissapointing. In my opinion, they changed it too much. I understand it's supposed to be a new timeline, but I'm old school and have been playing MK since Trilogy. And then they go and gender swap fan favorite characters too. I'm probably not playing MK 1 again till they drop Ghost Face. The only thing I liked about MK 1 was the roster and gameplay. Also, is that the Super Mario 64 music I hear in the background?

This game fucking sucks.. I like reptile and kitana but everything else sucks, the stage, the characters (soyboys with man buns or women dressed like muslims with ugly faces), the story is boring and villain is trash, the invasion mode is terrible. The micro transactions are crazy. I hate it.

My girlfriend knew immediately that mortal combat 11 was better than 1. The woman never touched a console before that and she could recognize the turd. Constantly guilt tripping us into buying more characters.
