Will the new remix S HD also come in day brake color or only the smoke color. Which I find not very well thought out as the color of the smoke cage doesn’t fit the color of the spools! Just doesn’t look nice really. So will there be the HD version in day brake color?

Any additional colours in the plan? Camo, blackout, …? I like the initial colours, they just don’t go very well with Scott Centric.

I've looked for a lot of reels. I do own the classic Orris CFO III. It is a nice reel. But for now, I just ordered this reel. It will be a perfect fit on my two other rods. I'm looking forward to put it battle. A lot of people told me these reels are perfect. There not cheap, but they are worth the money for such a reel. I have a remix hd and the spool keeps popping off when a fish takes a run. The plastic nut on the end of the drag unwinds itself. Really sucks when fighting a big trout. Other than that it is a great reel.

how long are the cork grips those rod models?

Great update to an already fantastic reel line-up. We're looking forward to getting our hands on one for review.

After having cast this rod, it's excellent. I view the rod as medium-fast action. The rod is very accurate for both short and long distances in part because it doesn't require a higher line speed to achieve distance. In my tests, I could hit the target that I was casting to very easily with minimal effort. If no one told you this was a $400 rod, you'd swear it was a $1,000 rod based on how it cast. My 5wt is a Douglas SKY G, which is an outstanding rod. Compared to an Orvis Recon-II that I cast a couple of weeks ago, this is a better casting rod. The Orvis was heavy, dead feeling, and not overly accurate. For the price of the Orvis, you could get the Purist, a Lamson Liquid reel, and a top-end Rio or SA line.

This is the best technical description of a rod I've seen in a long time and explains why certain things are done during rod design. I have a good deal of experience with a variety of different rods from inexpensive to expensive and knew what I was looking for in a new 4wt. The soft tip and more robust butt should help when encountering a larger than expected trout in a small stream. I actually ordered one after viewing this video. I've seen the Velocity, their ultra-fast action rod, and it looked like an excellent value for $400.

This is really great stuff for the money. I bought a 5/6 some weeks ago and am absolutely satisfied with it. I just ordered an extra spool now. Unfortunately I didn't know it's also sold as a pack with 2 extra spools otherwise I would have taken that. I'm thinking of buying also a 3/4 for my Čech Nymphing. Come on Lamson can we have a M6 as there is a lot of us using 5 and 6wt rods for salt. At the moment i'm using a Litespeed F7 on my Scott Sector 6wt

Was blown away after casting this rod...thinking it was a 9 weight....only to find it was a 12 weight....that was pretty neat. lol

Beautiful- on my shopping list.
