I don't even know where to turn anymore, but am hopeful this reaches someone. We moved into a house which we found out 2 years later was full of black mold behind the walls, and the moisture problems was so bad the wood framing in the house started dry rotting. We called the health Officer who already knew my landlord, and after basically sanding he come to our home he saw how bad it was, deemed it unliveable and said he would set us up for emergency housing. Months went by and my landlord decided to evict us and try to sell the place. We went through mediation in court and agreed to go back to paying rent once the work was completed and look for elsewhere to live. We called the Health officer at this point to see where we were with the emergency housing since it was now October and we called him in July and no repairs had begun. My landlord started at the of that month since he was given a 30 day notice to repair. This went on for a year and it was very minimal remediation only replacing the sheetrock on a 4 total walls out of all of them. Servpro came and measured the humidity at 86 percent inside. Any standing water or even wet clothes would grow mold on them within 24 hours. Daughters toys covered in mold. Animals food and water growing mold. Not too mention the rats that's grew tumors that were twice the size of them that they would drag around. My dog that had to have an eye removed all of a sudden, another round dog having to have 2 small cancerous tumors removed from his side. My kids, wife, and I all experiencing toxic mold symptoms. My wife recently went to and allergist who confirmed she's allergic to MOLD. He then orders more tests, and those tests confirm she has an abnormality with her thyroid. She been in pain for over a year and hasn't been able to work because of it. Her knees and legs swell up on dampe days or if she's on them for too long. My kids and I have appts. In January to get blood work completed. Sent mold samples to Pro Lab myself and the sheetrock tested positive for stachybotrys and chaetomium. Did I mention all the mold remediation was done with us living in the unit? And me helping him? He recently had the health officer back in the unit because he had a prospective buyer and needed the health reports closed. Even though there is still walls with mold behind them, a giant crack in the foundation that's buried underground(house is half built in the side of a mountain) that goes horizontally the whole distance of the back of the house allowing moisture in and that wall is bowing in, pressing up against the framing of the interior wall, basically collapsing, and numerous spots in the unit that moisture is still coming in when it rains when snow melts, and the framing including the bottom plates are dry rotting away, the Health Officer still closed the report so my landlord could sell it. Come to find out, the same thing happened with the last family that lived here before us and the Health Officer at that time closed the report without the work being properly done after the unit flooded. She replaced sheetrock 2 feet down to the ground, repainted, health officer signed off and them she sold to my landlord. Now the new landlord wants us out and the same thing is going to happen to another family. I will not allow that to happen. Not after seeing what toxic mold can do to a family, I can't have that on my conscience. I need help. I've reached out to lawyers in the state and even they turn me down once I mention the failures of the Health Department and how they are just as much at fault. We have tried reaching out to everywhere and anywhere we could to ask for help, but everyone refers us to our local health officer. And it's not even the same health officer anymore, I would almost bet that he signed off and closed the report knowing that it was no longer his problem. I'm desperate and don't know what to or where to turn. I neeeeed to know who to contact and who can perform tests on my house for air quality and even the mold that still remains. I feel like this place has made me lose my mind some days and even typing this is somewhat a challenge. My family and I just need help and I want to raise awareness of the dangers of toxic mold and what effects it has on families and pets. I have close to a thousand photos showing the progression of the mold and the deterioration of the unit over the years. I even have the pets, including the rats in my freezer available for testing and experiments. I'm not exaggerating either when I say tumors twice as big as the rats. If anyone sees this can help, please reach out to me on either this comment. I will check often. Or send me a message on Twitter, @Davidad65794047. Thank you so much to anyone who took the time to read this and my story. There is alot more to it, this is just a shortened version.

Audio only? Where is the video?? start 4:00 6:50 Covid product shortage 8:00 IAQ focus increase, price increases, EPA, incentives for electrification making things harder rather than easier? 11:30 challenge of measuring and managing for broad sweeping but specific viral risks rather than focusing on performance 14:00 prescriptive adds are often not helpful. 15:30 already have skills and labor gap, piling on responsibilities may make it worse. 17:50 HVAC20 free quote process hopefully will pre-educate homeowners, and provide a documented "Offer/decline" 19:20 increasing value, getting homeowner to slow down and think about what they want without pressure. 21:00 commercial discussion for a while.... 24:30 everyone wants to oversimplify solutions - "Just put in a merv 13" 26:30 3rd party content that's not hysterical... 27:50 issue of IAQ diagnostics... 29:30 Bryan not psyched about having to measure IAQ - probably because he thinks he'll be responsible for doing it instead of teaching the homeowner it's their responsibility. (car mechanic doesn't watch my air or oil pressure). 31:50 BAD ASS equipment design - goes a long way to controlling and monitoring everything. 33:00 Envelope MAY matter. Offer to measure, then find out or don't. 34:10 WHO IS THE PERSON THAT WILL MANAGE ALL THIS? Nate says salesperson. 35:00 "NYSERDA has been doing it forever" - really badly... 36:00 those looking for quick fixes need to be told there are 2 paths - you specify the work, or we develop a design together. 36:30 Hard to find someone capable of following a process that isn't clear. Bryan unpacks a big conflict here. 38:30 IRA - Definitely NOT near and dear... 43:00 oversizing single stage, non dehumidifying equipment for heating load could make people and houses sick 45:20 Duct system problem isn't due to heat pump - it's ECM and oversized equipment problem. 46:40 incentivizing boxes instead of good work, box slingers will win and consumers will lose 48:40 Bryan and Nate are both very concerned about this. 51:00 3h proposal - just make heat pumps... 56:00 Bryan is pissed, Nate agrees. PITA but probably going to effect process. 57:49 Bryan softens his fantastic rant. 58:50 Nate agrees with Bryan, need incentives that don't pervert markets. 3h was Nates effort to offer great solution.
