Alhagie Camara, known as Almaska Aka yamarla is a Gambian musician whose music is cantered on three themes: "Feeling, Community, and Heart." His journey begins in Nyaoki, his birthplace, where he attended Nyakoi primary school before moving on to Nyakoi senior and junior high schools from grade 7 to grade 9. He then relocated to Brikam, in the western part of Gambia, where he attended Kunta Kinte High School and played Afro music. Following his education, he began working as a professional afro singer in 2008.
