Playstation Lo-Five- Kairi (Kingdom Hearts Edit)
2022 marks 20 years since the release of one of the best games ever, I thought I'd commemorate that by making an edit/ music video for a wonderful Lo-fi track I came across by accident.
Thank you Tetsuya Nomura for creating such an amazing franchise =)

my brother mad me watch this anime when I turned 13, I'm 17 now and thank god he did.
best anime ever
I was like 23 when I watched FLCL for the first time a bit before the pandemic blowed up, that era was one of the happiest in my life I felt like a teneager again I would often hang out with my childhood friends and ride bikes listening to FLCL soundtrack, I haven't been able to feel that happy ever since.
😭
Noats freaking saved the world and nobody knows about.😓
Magalenha intro😳
voy a llorar weon, quisiera ver este anime denuevo cuando tenia 13-14
Just wanted to see Haru looking up at the sky. Loved that scene.
So why is it so different from the book ending?
the manga was made after the anime came out unlike a lot of other series, i think whoever made the manga wanted to go in a different direction
I never saw the original, but from what people say, I feel like i I enjoyed alternative and progressive, then, this would be so much better.
You’ve got to watch the original it’s unbeatable!
Honestly the Japanese dub was weaker than the eng dub
" Nothing amazing happens here only the ordinary we crossed the bridge like usually before we know it the the seasons had changed " i still think about this line till now and it's starting to make sense to me
im not crying . you are
I think instead of trying to recapture what FLCL was in the new seasons they should have done another 6 episodes or 2-3 OVAs of a "Where are they now" sequel where we see a teen Naota and friends, Naota's brother comesback from America to visit, and we see a Haru riding around space or where ever looking for Atomsk. They could've had it be like a love letter to the fans saying , "Look at you, all grown up now"
Meaningless boring scene, people only like this show because of its animation despite it being outdated and obsolete. Why don’t you guys listen to what the “anime” is trying to “say”. Grow up stop, living in the past.
I love the part where you say it’s meaningless and then you proceed to explain the meaning lol. What’s your problem, why are you here anyway?
1. It's animation and artstyle is still better than most current anime. 2. The meaning of this scene is that life goes on, main hero matured (in more ways than one) and let go of his obsessions. 3. There's nothing wrong with rewatching old stuff, especially if it's so good.
flcl better than op naruto and dragon ball combined
You purposely clicked on this video to comment some stupid shit, how embarrassing for you.
Bro has the comprehension skill of a brick

I have a feeling one of the two new installations for FLCL may include Naoto as an adult. Just a hunch
I know you fuming I am to💀
FLCL is one of the first animes I've ever watched and I always felt there were a ton of things I just could not understand as a kid and things that *just work* because of what it is. I love this anime so much
The craziness ended. Things went back to normal. Life went on. The only real difference between the beginning and the start is that Naota isn't the same person anymore. The cord moving on its own at the end was there to let the viewers know that nothing ever really ends. The children will go on and grow up, both on the inside and outside. Life will continue onward and it might be mundane or it might be fantastical, and we need to continue onward with it. Forever and ever, one of the best anime ever made.
DISCLAIMER: I know not everyone likes the FlCl sequels, but I did. We didn't need Progressive, but we did need it's message. For years, everyone wanted more FlCl, completely ignoring the final piece of wisdom it offered and they fell into a recessive slump. Many didn't continue on, many didn't grow, and so Progressive came along not to give us more FlCl, but to tell us where we all went wrong, too tell us what we did that kept us from being progressive and to stop dwelling on a past that's never going to come back. I liked Progressive and I think it did a very good job of reaffirming this final scene.
Actually his name is Naota
Nah they should’ve just not done more seasons if that’s the case! If the original creator wasn’t apart of it why ruin it?
Agree, the Anime left on an "open cord", reminds me of some songs that start and also end on the same root and is often and simetimes is an open cord. I strum the classical guitar so I'm not sure about electrical ones, and I presume this is a bass with 4 cords, but sounds like an open E
i love "naoto" Edit, bro edited it 💀
i was 12 i think when i watched this? i can definitely say it helped shape the way i am today, and was my first and best anime i ever watched, and opened a whole new world for me
weird how canti appears in later seasons but naota doesn't
Comment 76, oh yeah
for that new series i hope we see naoto/mamimi return as i really missed them in progressive. :3
"Well, I lost him again, because of you, Tak-kun. You wanna come with me? ...nah, scratch that. You're still a kid; you're already on a journey."
Makes you really appreciate the awesome job they did on the dub because her voice sounds like the American actor
This show is an extremely rare case of the American dub surpassing the sub. Tho.. watching the sub, there IS some context that was not translated. Even so, the dub is just amazing.
When my sister watched this and showed it to me, I didn't understand it. So, when I found the episodes and marathon all 6 episodes, I never felt this stunned by an Anime like this. This is one of the best Animes of all time, it's has so much heart and some of the best writing that it feels too good for it's own nature. Watch the Original when you get the chance, the Sequels are ok, but they will never be like the original OVA.
Such an incredible show
I watched this 3 months ago and it makes me jelous of whoever got to watch it om TV while it was airing
I'm sorry but I grew up on the sequels an the original has aged horrible. I'm in my 50s now and there will be nothing that has impacted me then flcl alternate and progressive. I've showed this to my grandkids and they agree.
You're the only person I've seen with a good opinion on Progressive and Alternative. Especially saying it's better than the original. Interesting...
Yea I can't co sign that at all
Alternative and progressive change the entire meaning of the original? I genuinely can't believe that someone who watched the original thinks that the cash grabs were better

I love this so much, everytime I see this show I just get feels, either giddy from the excitement of remembering how awesome it was or longingly thinking to myself how much I want to watch it again I'm honestly super grateful for it's sequels in spirit with progressive and alternative. I think it's really sad they seem to have so many people pass them by when I think they stand up to the original as amazing shows in their own right, and considering they're being compared against this anime that's impressive, FLCL as a whole is my top anime series and top animes ever and Shit now I just wanna watch them all again
Ya'll for sure stopped counting but comment #41 on deck
Was 6 when I first watched this on Adult Swim. I'm now 23. I'm still awestruck every time I rewatch it. It's incredible to see it get the love/credit it's always deserved
Same boat man, well im 22 but yeah. Rediscovering this years later (a few years ago) was wild. And the new seasons? Whack but the og is the best. And we can only hope grunge and shoegaze will be better
16 currently on my second watch (just finished my first watch like two days ago) and, this show is CRIMINALLY underrated and needs more love and attention
I'm a very late watcher and dangggg I wonder how that would've felt for me to watch this at a young age
something about this show. It carry’s a weight and vibe that honestly no other anime could. I’m only 18 and I watched it for the first time maybe 2 years ago and I’ve seen it 6 times now since then and I still have such a hard time describing to my friends my I love it soo much. Which throws me off because I’m usually very good at descriptions but this one no matter how hard I think about what I want to say about it I always realize that’s not it
I’ll explain it for you: it’s really damn good
I'll paraphrase a line from a video essay about flcl, "you don't always understand flcl, but you feel like it always understands you."
I want to cry, but I feel good. Wonderful.
Same
I miss this anime
NGL, the dub is a direct translation from the Japanese. That's why it's memorable.
It's not a direct translation and that's why it's better, because so many dubs try to stick so close to the Japanese it ends up making no sense and sounding so awkward in English. They localised a lot of jokes to make it more nostalgic to an English speaking audience
I first watched this on an old TV with a screen around the size of tablet. Recorded a few episodes on VHS too. My favorite anime of all time.
i need to watch this anime again
Same
If there was ever a continuation of Naota’s story, I like to imagine him and Ninamori growing closer together, in a sorta way like ‘Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san’ (but the development would be more intense and FLCL-like somehow), of course I also want to know what’s going on with Mamimi but I feel like her story would be something completely separate
@A CV I've never seen the other seasons so someone correct me if I'm wrong but I heard that they were not really related to Naota(or Mamimi)'s story, Haruko returns but it's an entirely different cast of characters
@A CV it was fine, nowhere near as good as the original but still decent. had some great music and animation but that’s to be expected
I like to think that Mamimi got a gig selling pictures of Spiderman to JK Simmons
I'm one of those guys who doesn't mind there being more FLCL but I really dislike the idea of directly following up on character threads from the original. They have a nice will they won't they thing going on here but the reason it's there is to sort of tease at the kind of stuff these kids will (or won't) get up to when they're older. If you show them later as a couple this scene, and the ending in of FLCL in general, loses that ambiguous creeping maturity aspect and just becomes foreshadowing for a future romantic subplot.
We don't need that.
My 2nd favorite anime

Weird to hear this in 2022. I watched it when it was new.
