I live in one of the few counties that has never received any funding from VATI for broadband expansion. 75% of our county is considered unserved by the 100/20 Mbps required to be broadband. The total cost to provide universal coverage is over $50 million. The county is requesting around half of that ($23 Million) in it's VATI application. Hopefully we can get funded this time. If we are going to be denied because of the cost again, there will never be broadband in this county. The county is Carroll.

This information was delivered 1/25/2024. It sounds like it is too late to respond. Is that correct?

There's just over $40 million available in VATI funding and yet my county (Carroll) is requesting half of that $23 million. We are almost certainly going to be denied again.

Carroll County has never received any VATI funding despite submitting applications for several years. We are in desperate need of broadband here. Hopefully, we can get funded this time.

Ok I'm recently homeless I've been homeless since the 9th I believe I refuse to live in a homeless shelter I'm waiting for sentara to get their stuff together because they just rolled out a new application system but I have 3 applications put in for beach general and sentara leigh but I do need help
