100th Video Special! This is the hardest I've worked on a video in my life I always wanted to share a bit about my weird life and I thought this would be a nice and educational way to do it

Not my usual music content but I wanted to try something new. The journey learning my third language, Spanish, was weird and exciting, similar to my second language, Japanese. Let me know in the comments what you struggle with and I'll be sure to reply!

Flobe's not doing so great as a brand. Might just convert all Flobe songs into Phil Lober songs. What do you guys think? Here's the start of a new Flobe album though!

Bionicle music is the GOAT

EXCITED for this one. This will focus on two of the film themes in Bionicle: Mask of Light and Quest for Metru-Nui. The themes by Nathan Furst hold a place in all of your hearts, so let's remake them and get a closer look at that music! Using Cubase and my webcam, a simple game of strings will settle this. I'm putting my koli balls on the table. QUESTION: What kind of future videos do you wanna...

OUT NOW ON BANDCAMP! My new album Glass Boat. Please support my music! Your listens and purchases are the sole thing keeping it alive at this moment in time. I really appreciate every single listen these tracks get. These could have gone directly into the industry but I wanted to give back to my listeners all the inspiration that they gave me. Thank you a thousand times

i can't read english nor can i understand mexican but i know Phil Lover is soooooo hot
A new fan here. Stunning music.
Keep creating, bro. Not only do you make great art, you inspire an exponential amount of other art because so many artists find your music motivational and inspirational. Thank you for doing what you do.
Awesome!
wise words from a fellow skittle connoisseur
So glad to see this one on YT too, my favourite from the album alongside Not Enough
I discovered this song back in 2017, when Brandon Sanderson said he was listening Alive while writing Oathbringer. I was in high school back then. Now I'm in my masters, waiting for Wind and Truth coming out tomorrow, but still listening to this awesome music!
This is the final boss soundtrack! Epic!
*Legends of Metru Nui Sorry I have to be that guy.
I enjoy this one so much! Will it be on spotify?
Great video! +1 Sub
Me hace ilusión ver que un artista como tu que me gusta tanto habla en el idioma de mi pais (España). Amo tus trabajos, Lo hablas muy bien! Te doy muchos animos y muchas gracias por todo
Bro share them skittles tho! Good talk, shared this vid with a couple artist friends I've seen that sorta curious spark in and it was received well by both Much love!
🙏
And also, curiosity IS like love. Being brave enough to open yourself to things that can make feel you pain, just because you see something deeper in it.
Thanks alot for this video! As an aspiring musician it's really great to hear your input on these types of things. You have been a great musical inspiration to me since I was in middle school! So thank you.
#1 Don't compare yourself to other, or your past self... You can learn about John Williams, or Magnus Carlsen. Be curious about how they think, and how they approach things. Yet, don't be afraid to start your own niche. You don't have to be like everyone else. (Nobody else sounds like Phil.)
Your best track is by far Alive It is so unique and out of the box compared to your other tracks
Thank you, Phil! Great video-it really helps to gain a fresh perspective on the art of creation and all its struggles. True creativity lies not in what you make but in how courageously you push beyond what you know.
Omg.... ❤ As a person that is in love with bees....this is perfect, 😊❤, thai will be my new alarm sound
@@nashfranco5696 yes!!! Haha that’s the best thing I’ve read all day
You are in like my top 5 favorite artists. Just next to like Thomas Bergersen and 2WEI
Thanks to this song, I just came up with a new alien race
How doesn’t this have millions of views 😮
Dang that was awesome
bro do you have an extremely high IQ or something?
Sounds a bit like Paradise.
Hey guys! I’m really REALLY grateful for those who subscribed. Unfortunately even after all the hard work on my recent videos I’ve only gained negative one subscribers.. yes negative one. But I love making content so I’m never quitting. Thanks for watching and listening
No, thank YOU. I friggin love all that you’ve done. If you ever stopped creating then I might as well just hop into the sun.
Sas to see such great effort into these songs for a small audience only
So good this is one of my favorite songs I’ve seen on UA-cam lately
Love this; will you be putting the album up on UA-cam for UA-cam Music? I love listening to your music but I already pay for premium here...
Oh my goodness, yes!! I’ve been waiting for Pressures on UA-cam forever
I've been using that same mouse for years :D
Thank you so all so much for 1,000 views! My channel was like a ghost town but I’m working harder than ever to resurrect it and get more viewers. If I fail, just know I’m so grateful already for you guys
I have a small Lexicon Lambda audio interfaces that is easily carried and my laptop of course. For now, as you pointed out, carrying a keyboard is too clumsy so I just edit the MIDI in the MIDI editor.
@@5Gazto check out foldable keyboards! I think they have a lot of potential in the near future
This.. song.. is.. a.. musical... masterpiece!! I have listened to it already many many times.. loveeee the lyrics "how can death mourn his son".. the many transitions and the counter melodies that slowly creep up in the background. Love how it breaks out into a third movement with that majestic 80s synth!!.. only to be responded to by some whimsical oboes that resolve into echoes and detuning. It's brilliant..
@@meditationaudio1518 thank you for this analysis. The creation of this track was an absolute whirlwind in my life. I’d started it living in a valley in the north of Mexico. The track was originally going to be a more pop oriented orchestra track, kind of like Alive. That clarinet part at the end was played by my ex and was going to be the main chorus, but writing is always so unpredictable. Later that year (2020) I had absolutely no money and stayed with my ex in her family town and finished the song there on my laptop. Her family would listen as I worked on it and in a fun way give suggestions and it became like this track that glued us together. When I listen to it I can remember that time so clearly
@@MusicOfPhil I enjoy learning the background behind the creation of masterpieces like this! Thank you for sharing!!
Like that this songs doesnt follow a pattern...is just goes wildly
PLAYING ON LOOP 🔄
I can't tell you how many times I listened to the teaser for this song awaiting the release of PRESSURES. I primarily use UA-cam Music, so thanks so much for the upload, and this amazing song! ❤️
I would love to learn what you do, to get those out of space voice effects. Very cool! :)
@@MarikaSchanz in the intro I’m using Izotope Vocalsynth :)
Great tips! That's amazing you can make enough from music to travel the world.
I remember when I opened Spotify for the first time in months to listen to this track on release and did so on repeat. Such a damn vibe.
What do you mean by desktop setup? Do you have something like portable mac mini?
@@ArtemYegorovMusic yes I should have elaborated on that. I use a Mac Studio and Apollo twin duo
@@MusicOfPhil Right, i've noticed it now. Why not a windows laptop though, with higher specs? Not a fan?
@@ArtemYegorovMusic I’ve found windows desktops to be more stable, and on that note I’ll be building a PC soon, I like Mac’s stability but the OS features can be really intrusive sometimes and not a lot of 3rd party support
I LOVE this
Superrr cool video! I can tell you had fun making it!
this is amazing🤩 huge fan of you since Alive
same..alive was awesome
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR TWO YEARS🤪THANK YOUU VERY MUCH
Oh man, as somebody who doesn't use spotify much, I have been hoping you'd put this one on UA-cam for ages. :D
This is great Phil, the opening to this piece reminded me a lot of the Heat credits music!
i'm glad u found a cool running buddy
Great video Phil! I just bought a 49 piano de voyage for traveling! Can let you know how it goes once it arrives in a couple of weeks from now.
