That awkward moment when I haven't updated my profile description in three years, the whole lay out has changed, and I look stupid.
Star Wars Legends Tribute- The Parting Glass
It's been a while since I'd done a tribute video, so I decided to do one to one of my favourite songs. :)
The song is a classic Celtic ballad called The Parting Glass, sung often as a farewell among friends. It is performed by Peter Hollens and The Hound + The Fox.
I hope you enjoy!

Star Wars Legends: Centuries

I heard this song the other day and immediately knew another tribute video was coming. It just fit so perfectly! The song is by Fall Out Boy and the artwork is by countless awesome, talented people who are not me. The videoclips are from Star Wars: The Old Republic, and are owned by Bioware. This video was made strictly for entertainment purposes and I do not own any of the content. Enjoy!
Star Wars Expanded Universe/Legends Tribute-- Kingdom Come

Happy New Year, y'all! I decided to open the new year with another EU/Legends tribute video. "Don't you fret my dear, it'll all be over soon I'll be waiting here for you." The song is Kingdom Come by the Civil Wars. Video clips are from the Star Wars: The Old Republic cinematic trailers. Artwork found on various websites. I do not own the song, the video clips, or the artwork. They are all used...

I was really happy with how my last tribute video turned out, so I decided to do another one. :) This one is more focused on courage and heroism.
Star Wars Expanded Universe/Legends Tribute

While normally my videos tribute one character or one couple, I decided to make a video tributing the Expanded Universe/Legends of Star Wars as a whole. "Just because they can't feel it too doesn't mean that they have to forget."
Sword of the Jedi- What You Want
Переглядів 1,1 тис.10 років тому
I wanted to make a video about Jaina Solo that came across kind of mixed.... in a sense that the whole "Sword of the Jedi" destiny is inevitable, whilst still trying to choose her own path in the Galaxy. It ended up kind of centralising around the fall of Jacen and her eventually having to slay him, but at the end she realises despite how evil he became, there still was a part of him that was J...
Mad Man With a Box (Halia Meguid)

An acoustic cover of Murray Gold's "A Mad Man With a Box" performed by Halia Meguid. Lyrics by Halia Meguid. Clips from BBC's Doctor Who, episodes from 1963-2013. I attempted to portray the relationship of the Doctor over the years in his many incarnations and the TARDIS. Enjoy. Lyrics: As night turns into day, you take me far away, You offered me your hand, the winding stars and strands... I o...

I made this for a friend's birthday. The video is kind of the Doctor's perspective of Clara, an encouragement I suppose. Obviously, it fits her familiar repeated words.

Jacen Solo and Tenel Ka Djo - Across the Stars
Mithrandir heard this melody on the shores of Aman, and that was the very moment he decided something needed to be done about Mairon.
Long Live The Expanded Universe and Emperor George Lucas! 🫡
Legends Never Die.
Learned this song from grade school english class, relearning it for a shanty/Irish folk band I'm in. Oh, how things come full circle
Damn Disney for decanonizing the EU.
It's a good thing tho
Ēala! I wish to share the lyrics in Old English (Anglo-Saxon) poetic style: Gil-Galades Sorhlēoð Gil-Galad wearð Ælfisċ-walda. Of him ðā hearperas hrēowlīċe singað; nehsta hwæs rīċe hwīt and hlūtor wæs twih ðǣm beorgum and ðǣm brime. His gūðeċġ wæs lang, his gār wæs glēaw. His fāgan helm wæs feorran sewen; ðā unrīman tunglu heofonrīċes feldes wǣron wealcen his seolfrenan wīġwuda. Ac ġefyrn forfōr hē feorre, and ða hē ġesitt nān ne mæġ seċġan; ðæs ðe on deorcnesse his tungol drēas on Morðre ða ðā mircan wihtas syndon.
And now we just need to add the 2017 _Synthesis_ version.
Best version I have heard/seen yet.

i liked the poem it was very good

I’m not going to say that you’re not a talented singer, because that would be untrue. My complaint with this song is the chipper tone taken for such a somber song. It’s very contradictory to the nature of the story.
I thought so too. But there's a silver lining, I think, in her voice, it's cheerful but not really. It feels sad and cheerful at the same time, sort of reminiscing of those dark days. I like it much more than any cover of Fall of Gil galad, but I suppose it is a personal preference.
So beautiful and sad 😭
It is a Universe like no other. One perpetually at war with itself. I suppose it comes from the name. Every contributor has taken the term “Star Wars” to heart, and the stories reflect that. The characters rarely have peace, and the entire galaxy is devastated at least once a generation. But continual war means one other thing: The Star Wars Universe produces Heroes like no other.
Beautiful
Gil-Galad was an elven Chad
I will still consider original Star Wars EU which goes nowdays Legends a true canon to Star Wars
I'm glad they got rid of it
This is the only Tolkien poem that the band was allowed to use, such a shame because they do a beautful job.
Why did u put pictures of fingolfin and menegroth in here and other silmarillion stuff?
Gil galad lived in Gondolin.
😭
IM LEARNING ABOUT THIS IN SCHOOL :) 😂😂😂😂
Good to know I’m not the only one who felt that during the book.
This is truly beautiful... 🥺
4 years and counting! Still love this 🌸
Wish there was a song for Ecthelion of the Fountain...now that's who I consider a badass among the Eldar. But yeah Gil-galad's no slouch.
Fingon took them all on and it took a sneaky balrog binding his arms behind his back with a flame whip before he finally died.
Long live legends
Long live legends
Beautiful, beautiful... So beautiful 👏👏👏💥💥💥♥️♥️♥️
Somehow I like Anois's version of interpretation best. Especially the wolf-like howl and the harp.
Sounds like an oboe playing as well. Not as familiar with all instrument as I would like to be. Howard Stone used many odd instruments and many of the fan made music have done so as well. Isn't this just beautiful, my favorite rendition as well.
Your username suggests a parallel tale where Beren and Luthien come back from death to live awhile peacefully in Ossiriand, “singing sorrowless”.
Jacen Solo = Anakin Skywalker Tenel Ka Djo = Padme Amidala
So tragic...
too bad we never got her story ...
This song was what made me fall in love with this band (now called Aylona today). The last I spoke to the female lead vocalist, they're working on new songs and their official website. A lot of changes. :) You can them officially here now: ua-cam.com/channels/TYxKaOSD4yf5M_JG-CYw-g.html
This is unbearably beautiful. . . 😭
...oddly enough...these are the exact images [including custom edits] that I had on my profile >.>
Thank love , hauntingly beautiful.I love to hear one of my favourite poems .Her voice simply sublime .
Even if the new canon is starting to be loved by everyone in the fandom, Legends will always be the true Star Wars in my opinion.
Yes thank you someone who gets it
I don't think "new canon is starting to be loved by the fandom" but rather; the fandom's just permanently split. :(
Hmm, this comment didn't age all that well. But yeah Legends is the True Star Wars.
I have this CD to my literature teacher in 1998 and he played it for all the classes. I felt proud to contribute something finally.
Great video. Makes me cry everytime, and makes me wish we couldve gotten an ending to the series. 501st's cliff hanger ending was the ultimate gut punch after order 66.
More meaningful than Romeo and Juliet.
James Franco as Jacen Solo Jennifer Aniston as Tenel Ka Djo
This song is cool and all but my dad left me
Lmao
Its been three years since I read this poem in middle school and I still adore it! 💕
prefer Phil Ochs version!!
pulcherrimum est carmen ipsum, ex mundo imaginali et magno corde Tolkienensis, atque pulcherrima est haec vox et musica.
I learned this poem in school 2 years ago and i still love it ♥️
A lot of us seem to have heard this in fifth grade. Now, this could be one major coincidence, and I assume it is, but just to make sure, did any of you happen to have a teacher in fifth grade known as Mr. Ferris?
No mine was Miss Ellis
I had Mrs Lancaster in 5th and Mr Procter who had is read this in 8th
Rexsoka plis!😭
I learned this poem 2 years ago in English and I still love it
Yess me too and it makes me emotional everytime I listen to it
