As some crazy person who randomizes the ability to attack in every direction but down, I can confirm you can beat those big bulky guards with nothing but pogo, not the easiest thing to do but if you can stay on top of them and move left or right so they're not facing you you can kill them without taking any damage before you have any ability at all. You do need double jump or claw to go up past that elevator to the top-left bench of city of tears, if you have access to the storeroom stag however you can just open the shortcut to the left and drop down to it. 52:40 What's normally there is a toll to activate that particular elevator, the randomizer added an "elevator pass" that lets you use all elevators and that's the spot they put it's default location in. Yes there are 2 vengeful spirits in the world, the second one you get will simply become the upgraded spell, that's true for just about everything that has an upgraded version, for example you can't get the awoken dream nail before you get the dream nail. By default the logic of the randomizer does not expect you to pogo enemies to get places, you can still do it if you want but there is guaranteed to be claws or double jump somewhere you can get to without them. 1:00:20 there is indeed something up there, it's a dream tree, I don't know if you have the rewards from those randomized but it's probably good to keep in mind. The randomizer made it so elder baldurs have very little HP, mostly because it's logic can require you to kill them with more annoying ways like spore shroom. Kinda funny to find the lamp and the crystal peaks map at the same time, guess it's pretty clear where to go next.

The logic in this randomizer is very well made for how complex the game is and it would take a great deal of messing around with extra mods and weird settings for that to even begin breaking, it's part of why I love it so much and why I know so many weird details about it. As far as alternative setting options, I like to play with split claw and split dash because it fascinates me how many things do or don't unlock by just having one side but I'm also a weird person that randomizes breakable walls so you do you. There isn't much to talk about this episode so I'll just go ahead and mention the Rando Map Mod again, partly because it's a great way to display it on screen and partly because it will show you what you are actually able to do without spoiling you on what's there. And if you don't like map items becoming redundant, there's a setting on it that will make it display all the check pins without revealing the maps themselves, though that can be awkward without the compass.

The randomizer does add some platforms to prevent softlocks, there is a setting to disable that if you want. You said it right, but feel free to just call me Ran. So you have found the diary of Menderbug, Hollow Knight's canonical reason for why every background object gets repaired the moment you leave the room, normally their hut is only open if you somehow manage to kill him (you monsters) but the randomizer leaves it open because one of the bonus settings can randomize lore entries including the diary. Normally the randomizer's logic will require you to be able to get 2 extra small keys before expecting you to use any of them, there's a setting for that too but either way it's generally recommended to use your first key in opening waterways. I don't think anyone would blame you for using bench warp just to save time going back to places you've already been, specially on a youtube setting. So for future reference there are a huge list of things that can get you out of crossroads, not counting every stag and the use for Isma's tear you found: Any of dash, double jump, or (with some difficulty) a dreamer will get you through the jump down to fungal wastes. The lamp or dive will get you to crystal peaks. The claw will get you up to howling cliffs. The elevator pass will get you directly to city of tears. And then there's any way to kill a baldur, which includes... vengeful spirit, desolate dive, Grubberfly's Elegy, Glowing Womb, Weaversong, Spore Shroom and Grimmchild (and maybe more that I'm forgetting about)

Ok so now that I'm here I can point out a few things, some of which I probably said in previous videos, though given the skip between the previous video and this I don't know if some of this advice will be helpful. The first is that unless you went out of your way to enable randomization for path of pain, it should not be randomized, so nothing important should be in it. - On that note, I'd recommend starting a seed showing the settings you selected so that people have a clear idea of what to expect. Second, when you find a stag station as an item check that is logical access to the station, the randomizer fully intends you to use the stag to warp there. And third, quality of life mods like the map tracker and additional maps (which adds a map of white palace in game) are convenient both for the audience and to ease your own suffering. There are a few other mods that can be interesting to play around with and most are compatible with the randomizer so feel free to look around for fun ideas.

So, some items are progressive, which means that if you're reading the full spoiler log the location for the dream nail and the location for the awakened dream nail are interchangeable because whichever one you find first will be the dream nail and whichever one you find second will be awakened, that's probably where the confusion on it's location came from?

So, there's a mod that even the pros still use that adds a tracker to the in-game map letting you know exactly what you can do without spoiling what there is everywhere, just figured you might want to know.

Again I don't know how relevant this information this is by now but I might forget if I wait till I'm caught up. So Jiji works kinda like grubfather now where he gives you random rewards after you have a certain amount of rancid eggs, normally it would tell you how many you need for each reward but you seem to have a setting on that hides it. The Moth also works like grubfather but with essence, and both of them have a glowing tablet in their room that normally tells you how much you need for each reward, for now you can at least use them to check whether you have obtained every reward they have.

So I know I'm really late and you might have figured this out already, but just in case you haven't... stag stations are actual randomized items you can get, that's what you got to get to the city of tears station, you have had legitimate and logical access to city of tears since the very first episode and the randomizer can expect you to use them to go to other areas and find progress there. Replenishing items like soul totems and life blood will still continue to refresh at whatever location you found them, either as free items at shops or orange items on the ground if they can't be displayed as full soul totems, still it would be nice if the shop stopped hiding what they are after you've already bought them once. Much like the original, some of the items in Salubra's shop requires you to have a certain amount of charms, I don't know why it doesn't at least display that but then again I don't use the setting to hide shop contents so I have no clue if it can be fine tuned that way. Now I'll just have to wait and see all of this become irrelevant in an episode or two but if I waited I'd just forget.
