My Custom Reload Mod. I compiled this mod as there were seemingly no suitable options for weapon mods that were compatible with Cheello's Voxel mod, as almost all others replace the voxel sprites on the ground with custom 2D ones. This mod only adds reload and changes the animations, while being fully compatible with Voxel Doom. Credit to these modders/mods for scripts and animations used DooM_...

Ok so i tried putting all the weapons on my Doom Launcher along with Voxel Doom 2.4 and for some reason both Chaingun and Plasma Rifle types appear to be equal and i don’t understand why, like i have two Vanilla Chainguns and two Vanilla Plasma Rifles, do you know why this happens? I even got it the other way around with the Minigun and Modern Plasma Rifle.
If you can, you should remake this mod now that the Id Vault has pistol reload frames. And also maybe add balacing stuff, like, BFG and Plasma Rifle not needing to be reloaded, a faster reload speed for the Shotgun, etc.

Pistol shouldn't need to be cocked if there's a bulled in the chamber. Chaingun is beltfed, there's nothing to reload. Plasma rifle shouldn't reload, but rather have a heat bar. It all just seems kind of pointless though. At least with Brutal Doom the weapons are more powerful, here they're just vanilla, except with reloading.
The punching looks really weird since the shoulders point sk close to the center. Might wanna tweak that.

I mean, I always use smooth animations, always worked great even with voxel doom, might try this whenever I need a slower pace reload style. very noice
Great work, i always thought that the Plasma Rifle would have a cooling system instead of reload (like EA's Battlefront games)
This would make the rocket launcher like half as good because the best part is the firing speed but when you have to reload every five seconds the large group of enemies gets closer and closer

he’s ambidextrous, considering he holds the shotgun and plasma rifle in a right-handed way, but punches and holds his pistol with his left
@@randominternetman8177 Most left-handed folks learn to use certain tools or weapons right-handed because it's designed for people who are right-handed. I'm sure he is somewhat ambidextrous but if he shoots pistols and punches with his left hand, it must be his dominant hand.

The only weapon that can reload in vanilla Doom is the Super Shotgun regardless of the said mechanic.
Seems like the whole point to a plasma rifle is that you can shoot a lot of times without having to reload...

lol I had been working on one that's a little over ambitious, but took a break for a while. I try to work on it off and on, but it's hard to stay inspired. Hopefully someday I'll finish it.

Thank you! Yessir. RRX24. Using a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister 18 - Twelve combo amp. Using the XLR out on the back into a cheap Behringer mixer. From the mixer, I'm running the headphone jack out on the mixer to the mic in on my PC and capturing the audio via windows voice recorder. This allows me to record just the guitar isolated while playing along to the track recording video with my phone. Then I just gotta sync up the recording to the video and MP3 track with openshot video editor. It's pretty slick.

I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing wrong or a bugged download, but I can't get the vanilla handgun to work. All the other weapons work just fine but the vanilla handgun won't load at all. I've put it last in my load order and tried both V1 and V2 but nothing. I've checked and double checked the path and spelling etc. I've tried loading it via the .ini and via the -file command but it still won't work. Like I said, all the other weapon mods work just fine so I'm not sure what's going on here.

Makes me wonder if reloading was once considered during development but never implemented due to limitations of the time since they did consider ejected ammo casings.
probably not (except for the pistol maybe, which has side view unused sprites) casings were probably just something of an aesthetic choice that they cleaned up since it would probably be too taxing on the hardware
The Id Vault confirms that reloading was intended for atleast the pistol and rocket launcher
