This truly was heartbreaking. I was 16 when this occurred, finding out about the crash on the local news. My childhood mentor, coach, and friend was sadly one of the victims who perrished. His name was Eugene Kaplansky. He was such a kindhearted person, whose life was cut way too short. He was only 26.

How did you film this? You were in another jet? Aren’t you too close?
It was filmed by a jump seater in the cockpit. There was 2000 feet desperation between us.
What’s that freeway ? Do u know the exact address? Because we want to go
The crash side is located on highway 82 about half a mile north of Aspen Airport in Colorado. If you just head towards Aspen airport you'll find the memorial on the northbound highway 82 up in the hills half mile north of the airport. You will need to park your car on the side of the road and walk up the hill. Hope this helps, if not let me know I will provide more detailed information.
