Homemade TDC Dial indicator that doesn't have the Mercury outboard cost!

The best answer to not buying a $289 dollar TDC timing Mercury outboard Dial indicator make your own without a the expensive metal lathes! 😂.. this works extremely well and it's sturdy enough when it's all screwed into your plug hole..if you need less of the stem sticking out just don't push the indicator on all the way and also you can adjust your depth in how much you screw into your thread h...

@@FultonStreetBeats Thank you FSB!! My wheel bearing gets on the Yukon its on like Donkey Kong!
Hey man, is that the shotgun we talked about in email? Seem to work ok now after polishing the chamber? When you were walking, I kept thinking if there is any cuckle-burrs there, and stick-tights. I got covered by stick-tights today when I mowed the far east edge at my Mothers place, man it took me 15 minutes to get them off my overalls. We have near that same kind of grass here on the river bottom, in the more open areas. Hogs love to get under that tall grass and nest. I stepped on maybe a 35 lb. shoat 3 or 4 yrs ago on a hog hunt, spooked him as much as it did me!! What choke are you using in the shotgun, and what size shot are you using? You remember my Ithaca 37, well a few yrs ago, I extended the forcing cone. It did cut down on some recoil, and patterned better too. It's fixed choke of course. I'm about the only one around here with an Ithaca, they were more upland bird guns, not real popular around me, but it's one of my favorites. It's taken many turkeys. Using #4 turkey loads, it still has a bit of recoil being it's so light of a shotgun. It really looked good after I re-blued it, and got the wood refinished and back nice again, and that old style thin red recoil pad. I'll be watching for a video tomorrow when I get back from w/eating over there. Be safe out there man, glad you got that one bird!!!!
@@dalesmyth7398 Hay Dale! You stepped on a hog Holy cowboy!! Hahahahaha! Ya I'd be spooked out to! 😂 You talking about your one shotgun with the receiver engraved one you like a lot? Lol".. engraving today man that's an extra $2600 bucks I bet lol" yes this is the Remington Express 870 the chamber polishing improved it a lot the loads fly out like lightning now what a difference and I never knew about polishing the chamber till few weeks ago 😂 it didn't jam when I racked my second round after the one kill today first one eject and second one was in there with ease and I did rack it hard like you told me makes a huge difference also lol" my choke I use to use my modified choke but today I went with a improved cylinder my first shot is a 1 1/4 oz #4 shot my second shot I rack a #6 I rack 4 shells a #4 and a #6 and a 4 6 again i never made a long distance shot before with my modified choke i always missed on long shots so I gave this ic a chance and i made the farthest kill shot of my life of pheasant hunting 😂...I told this one guy I see every year on the fields i said man i always miss on my AT&T shots (long shots) he said try the improved cylinder so i don't know the science on chokes but I impressed myself today with that AT&T shot 😂...Thank you for stopping in Dale! I'll get the next one out and a better one showing a kill .. ✌️
I forgot ya the buck thorn and those darn chucke burrs I hate so much! 😂 They get in my chamber and my ejecting port in the barrel but I clean the 12 gauge every night after a hunt..I got this RIA 12 gauge I need to take and try it's a 20" barrel though but it's so easy and light to carry 😂....
@@davidpretzel1978 Yep, stepped on a hog!! It wasn't big at all, squealed and ran off, and I about crapped myself to boot!!! No, the Ithaca does have engraving, but it's rolled engraving from the factory. You can tell it's rolled too, it's just not crisp like hand engraving is, anyway, it don't bring the value up at all. Ya, esp new shotguns, run that slide pretty hard, it won't break. If it does, then the shotgun has issues, weak metal and such. But, it will loosen up over time if you use it quite a bit, and you won't have to run it hard at all. If you ever shoot my Ithaca, man you'll love it, it's butter smooth. And another thing about my shotgun, I can slam fire it. Factory. I tried it one time, and it's nothing but wasting shot shells. The newer Ithaca's do not do that. 10-4 on the size of shot shells. I have 2 more shotgun, both are New England, one is still brand new. One is mod. choked, and the new one is full. It's gonna get taken out this next spring on my turkey hunt, it's light and easy to carry. I'll answer the below comment, yep, those cuckle burrs are a mess, and here those stick-tights, that's what we call them, they get all over clothes man. Esp if you have pure cotton shirts on, boy they stick. Ok, didn't know you had an RIA shotgun, I've not shot one of those. Take it, or both out someday, get a big pasteboard box, and see how both pattern with the shot shells you are using now, for pheasant i mean. That'll tell you lots. Talk later man, I'll watch for a video tomorrow or so. Take care.
Thank you!!
