When it is the middle of winter, and you get a 60-degree day you clear the schedule to go dirt biking. Throughout the winter we have been slowly adding to our local practice loop. Here is a preview of what it looks like so far.

Round 13 of the NETRA Hare Scramble Series brought us out to Granville Ma. for Hard Knox. The course consisted of some fast cart roads, gnarly rocks, fresh cut single track and some awesome grass track. I race in B-Open starting in the last line. Heading there next weekend. Looks awesome!!! Granted I’m just on a pitty but it’s all I can swing with kids and life. But man I have fun just ripping around exploring. I’ll keep a close ear out for full size bikes so I don’t end up prison raped by a full size front wheel 😂😂😂 hopefully you big rippers appreciate us pitty riders out just trying to enjoy the same thing a bit slower and lower 🤟🤟

That’s really good riding my dude. I was just here for the first time the other day. I love the trails and will be definitely coming back hope to be able to ride with other people next time. This is Fall River/ Taunton state forest in Massachusetts gotta have your bike registered unless you wanna get those fines.

That flow is nothing compared to the local trails that you’re “not allowed to ride”. And yes they are kept directional for safety in all the state forests

At about 9:05, you were killing those rocks. Fire. I don't know how many times you rode that loop but you guys killed it.

Super easy to get it registered I went to the Fall River environmental police they have an office on second floor. All I needed was a bill of sale and to show them a picture of the vin number. Costs 40 bucks for 2 years and whatever sales tax you told them you paid on the bike unless you bought it new from the dealer then your exempt
You can also hit millbrook st worcester 3rd floor. Same as other guy said. Quick 40.00 and sales tax. Have a vin pic and you’re good. All said and done. I was around 85.00 for both. And I paid a bit more to get a title for future

what's that trail right next to the highway? is that in the state forest or is it an unofficial route?
What tires did you end up running for this race? Would you have chose something different based off the terrain after the fact?
I run the At81ex in the rear and haven’t found any terrain it doesn’t hook up in. The m59 on the front worked great as well. The biggest struggle was the dust and just being patient.
@@braapaholicracing6969 this was super helpful and I’ll most likely pull the trigger on that tire but I’m worried about the soft carcass. I’ll be running ultra heavy dusty tubes, have you had any issues with it as far as flats?
@@joshmotox2946 I race NETRA throughout the season and but a nitro mousse at the beginning of the season and it usually lasts the season. If I’m spending all this money to race I’d rather spend the extra money to not worry about flats ending my race.

Which task Racing headlamp did you go with? Was it wired back to your bike battery?
It wired to a battery in my hydration pack. I didn’t not want to put anymore load on the stator. The battery lasts well over an hour

I put my watch on my handlebars which records the ride with gps and tracks my heart rate by wearing a heart rate monitoring. It takes a little extra time to put the video together but like you said it makes it more interesting
That was an unfortunate start to the race way to make something out of it. Love the new layout with the map and statistics 👍

Nice video Austin, I did the 2pm(didnt take off until 315ish) race C-Vet, i saw a guy carrying a seat and rear fender when i was on the starting line, hopefully 2 people didnt loose it. By the time your race and the one after it got done the woods section was BRUTAL, all the lines turned to shit. Props for doing a this without a seat, i bet the car ride home was interesting.
Work yesterday was worse than the ride home.

I have a 2020 ktm 300xc tpi that I use for hare scrambles. Some of my casual riding and track riding is on a 2019 ktm 250sx

I am not familiar with the rules for taking jeeps through the property. I would imagine it is a club of sorts.
Doing this race Sunday so was cool to be able to get a preview on the track. Thanks for the preview! It'll be my first hare scramble but ive been doing practice rides with my girlfriends dad who also does these hare scrambles and has been for a long time so pretty excited to start doing them also

You filming in 1080 & 60fps? My GoPro keeps dying so fast
I can check. I think I’m recording at 2k 60fps but you have to make sure the preview screen is turned off, leds are off and a few other things to save the battery. Also helps with the overheat problems.

How old are your batteries. They do develop lower full charge over a couple years.
1st of all. Awesome video. You are fast, and smooth. Can you explain to me how you get such a clear video on UA-cam. Camera and process of editing to transferring to UA-cam.
I think it definitely starts with the mount. Having a good angle helps a ton. I use a hero 9 and cyberlink PowerDirector. I record and edit at 2k.
