You should try Ap Garen you build nashors into bersekers then lichbane after that you build malignance to spam ults then rabadons and final item is rift maker. (Bersek shoes arent considered ad or ap so its okay also you start with dorans shield so you will not die early (runes are classic conqueror runes the game gives you)

I like how a dr mundo can be 4/8 vs a galio top and still manage to reach the enemy's nexus

with tp, you can also push on the sidelane opposite to the current / next objective, so opponents will have to go there and stop you and the wave. then, you can use teleport to go help your team. although, don't split for too long if you don't have vision of the enemy team, as they can be going after you 5v1
