You should try to write your answers in the same style as in this video: short and concise points covering a range of taxes/issues with the technical content applied to the specific exam scenario. By writing concisely, you will be able to make more mark scoring points in the tight time allocation. Using commonly used abbreviations (CT, NRB etc.) will also help save time. The examiners are tax professionals and are happy for you to use commonly used tax abbreviations (all us tax folks use them in practice!) Hope the video helped. All the best for your exam. Our FAR tuition and materials are based on IFRS because the vast majority of students sit the IFRS variant. Also, the Advanced Level exams (CR and SBM) are based on IFRS.

Hello, The key is to practice with lots of questions as this will improve your speed and accuracy. As you say, ideally the exams would use a spreadsheet like Professional and Advanced Level. If it is any consolation, everyone is in the same boat.

Hi Kieran, I’m sure you had an MI video for viewing previously that is no longer on here. I cannot access any of the content on your website as there are no captions so they’re useless to me. Why can’t the free videos from your website be uploaded to YT so they can be accessible with captions, like all the other videos on here? This would at least make them all accessible… I don’t really understand why that’s such a difficult thing to do? Thanks.
