I'm preparing to move to Daegu in mid-November 2024 to teach ESL and so many videos I find about living in South Korea are either in Seoul or Busan. Hardly ever in Daegu, especially as a Black person living in Daegu. This at least gives me a good idea of what my apartment might look like and I appreciated the short bit in Daiso to see what they have there and how much certain things cost.

South Africans beware...The shady hagwons prey on South Africans...They think they are more weak-minded and therefore more submissive. There was a hagwon a couple months ago that verbally and physically abused their South African teacher. I say be strong and know your rights under the LSA (Labor Standards Act). You are not property of the hagwon.

When I got my TEFL, it was more respectful to get a TEFL in an actual classroom.
