I'm trying to understand and play AC-GC at my home club and this video is immensely helpful. But I'm confused about the play of hoop #8. Blue scored hoop #7 by playing a long shot from the jaws, which was the last shot in the playing period of #7 to make it 4-3 Blue/Black. A problem arose in the playing period for #8. During the playing period of #8, yellow played first, missing a clear on blue. Then black played second, taking position. Then red played third to hoop #9. Black made hoop #8. Blue did not play a turn in the #8 playing period, so I don't think #8 was properly scored. Did I understand this situation correctly?

when blue was for 6 you said that ben would leave red south and to the left of penultimate. he left it to the right of penultimate. have i gotten this wrong?

stephen's mallet has a hobbs shaft and a pidcock head and the head flexes relative to the shaft a little bit. why? i could be wrong.
