Hi, I would recommend 6'0" Handing magic L ul . It is very durable and has moderate action. If you are throwing very light lures you can go with mavlos plume. Both are great choices.

@@dbbfishing2528 That's what i'm here for my brother. I think you could use a 1ft mono leader also. sometimes braid fouls too much. For that i use super glue gel and smear it on last 6". I've had them foul so bad you just cut and start over. That damn little braid.😂😂

@@yankeelipperfishing I always on my BFS topwater use about 18” mono leader usually 10lbs because braid does foul up a lot especially when using treble hooks

You see im chasing my early teen dream of fishing pro. My mom passed February 2023 during the winter I do nothing but watch fishing videos, ive come a long way, so as soon as I get settled in new place, im going small tournaments to see exactly how good I can do. When I found out NS was a pro , I was in shock that I was taking to a pro.

I think the 6 ft version is the best all around performer. It is fast action for a true ultralight. It needs 1/16 to maybe 1/4 at the high end. Not the best for really light weights. Good rod when it goes on sale but if not at 40$ or less I would wait unless you really want it. I never had the 4'6" so can't speak on it. Tight lines my friend.

@@yankeelipperfishing I got it on your recommendation. It's an amazing bfs fishing rod. This 5ft 6in model can cast 1/16 oz lures all day. Haven't tried 1/32 oz yet, but I'm confident it'll do.

@@Socalfisher85 It will struggle going to 1/32 and under. It will work but not as good as some others. action is too tight for the real light stuff.

I fish until Ice on the water. Then I go to flowing water. Then I cut holes in the ice or drive south. LOL.

Because flouro sinks. you could use mono. Because I am using bfs gear I like the instant response of braid. It is just better period. Since I use fluorescent colored braid I color it. I also use super glue sometimes on last six inches of the braid to stiffen it up for less fouling. I have done this test side by side with same lure and the black always gets more bites. Tight lines bro.

He is a cool cat. My Romeo Boy. I have a vid coming soon on the water fishing with Seasir M1. So far so good but not on the level of Jdm products. Have no found any of the Chinese reels that are.

Negative on changing those hooks. I've caught so many 5lbers on size 8 trebles it's dumb. you are correct on rod but megabass has these baits balanced perfectly. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I do tie my own feathers on back hook because I hate the tinsel tail that megabass ties. Tight lines my friend.

@@PassaicRiverFishing I used 6'5 Majorcraft benkai UL. It has perfect action for this bait. 10Lb braid to 6lb invisx leader. Hope this helps. All BFS. they choke bait. some slashers get hooked on outside but most are inside. Rod is moderate fast action. but not a noodle.

The rods i use mainly are all BFS. the rod I was using for the Latern fly imitater was a Handing Wandering and a Shimano Calcutta BFS reel. This combo is truly amazing for small baits down to 1g. I will put link to rod. amzn.to/3TNtd2T

Some baits are more buoyant then others. But a good rule is anything smaller then 2.5 inches gets 1/16. Any thing up to 3.5 gets 1/8. This may vary if bait is more bulky in profile. Hope this helps. Tightlines bro. :)

Love the Chi Xi. So far it it really good for price. The wood handle is a little heavier then your standard ul. It casts great up to 3/16 over that and it overloads.
