I like ian flynn but i don't think he knows how to write sonic i wish frontires sonic was more like this sonic where he clearly cares which is what frontires is going for but does not loose his edge or a large part of his personality for that to work. Just have a paper of sonic core traits on a wall that ian needs to look at.

I like Darkspine Sonic. Why? Unlike his super and hyper form, it doesn't require a steady supply of rings to maintain.

Whats really interesting is that it only took 3 rings for sonic to transform into Darkspine sonic and beat erazor while he used the power of all the rings. Makes you wonder why they didnt let sonic absorb all the world rings to take him down. Maybe Darkspine was an incomplete transformation...

literally the coolest most badass fucking villain transformation in any Sonic story ever. motherfucker becomes an eldritch god of creation and no details are spared. always creeped me the fuck out and amazed the hell out of me as a kid and it still does to this day. storytelling in Sonic is fucking bonkers

I love how this transformation is literally pure rage and Sonic still manages to stay sane. Also, I much prefer Darkspine's design to Super's, it's pretty cool.

I never played this game, but the Lamp forcing its genie to grant wishes against his will being represented by it shooting a beam of fire through his chest is really interesting.
