here's my new double bass Heel-toe technique that I've been practicing for quite some time.. some may say that it's dope, but tbh I just want to post this to inspired drummers who're into this technique,,, it's not perfect yet.. but I will get there soon.💪💪💪

Fuckin' A my man. So refreshing to hear this without the damn triggers. How long do you reckon it took you before you were able to sustain steady 16th notes @ 200BPM like in the video?
I don't know man, I think it took me 6 months but like inconsistently, and still up to this day I've been struggling playing 240 - 250 BPM with heel-toe without triggers
@@jubencore1950 Fair. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Parece una murga
+1 for playing that fast in flip flops
Wow, sounds like an old R4 diesel
Hahah😂
Playing heel toe fast is easy. Playing it evenly start/stop with no dropped hits is the hard part, which this drummer can’t do.
Yes,, it's difficult... But still im gonna continue to improve...
boss. planning on buying a double bass pedal. ok ba yung Gibraltar 5711DB?
The best Yan boss, may dalawanh version Yan.. 5711... Single chain yang Ng Gibraltar... Pag 6711 dual chain.. mas maganda kung Yun nalang Peru okay na din Yung 5711 version basta may solid plate ung ilalim Ng master pedal
This is triplets though, not quarter notes
No offense to this drummer,he might just not be there yet,but around 95% of heel toe I've heard, sounds like sloppy gallops,it's supposed to sound like fast singles,I just don't get how most other people don't notice this
Yeah... I guess it's the reason why they used triggers
@jubencore1950 I'm not sure I've never used them. I just seen your heel toe in heels ,lol 👍
@@antonmaclean8418 hahhaaha I'm just enjoying myself while practicing I don't have bands now so im focusing on my technique I need to be good @ 1 technique. So I choose this.. but thanks man.
Good effort but a bit sloppy tbh. Concentrate more on evenness of gap between strokes and all four volume levels ie. right foot heel, right foot toe, left foot heel, left foot toe should all be the same volume and the spacing between them equal. You're getting fluctuation in volume as well as spacing, even triggers will pick that up since they're velocity sensitive etc
Here's a couple of good exercises to try bro: *1.* see how slow you can heel toe, not how fast. See how slow you can go without losing evenness & volume. *2.* Try with triplet timing on the feet ie. 1 + a, 2 + a etc. Do singles first, then simply drop your heel for doubles, don't change your leg speed though, just drop the doubles to go into sextuplet mode. *3.* Try weaving the heel toe together, so go right heel, left heel, right toe, left toe... takes time but you will get it. It's a legit technique but the name escapes me rn, you'll get some nice speed from that one, plus technically it's singles considering the beater hits on your drum are right left right left etc as opposed to right right left left etc. I also recommend highly trying to use a left foot lead instead of right. So do that exercise you just did but start on the left instead, as well as with the exercises I suggested. Being able to play with either foot as lead will open a lot of doors to crazy foot patterns. Good luck
Yes,,, need more practice.. but the as what I've experienced on heel-toe drumming is that there's no even space, there's always a galloping sound that's why trigger is necessary... This is my take on this topic.
Yes I've seen this technique... This one is very challenging. But i will try this
@@jubencore1950 I promise you when you get good enough there is no gallop. Think about what makes it gallop in the first place. It's uneven spacing. if the spacing is fine then your velocity either on your heel or toe aren't even. It's a practice thing bro, I've got a mate who thinks he can heel toe because he can get that motion, it's another whole level to control it accurately.
@@jubencore1950triggers aren’t going to do shit for spacing just leveling off intensity. If you hit a triggered drum off beat you’re going to get the triggers off beat.
Nice
Hi! Please use fitflop electra, walkstar, and a similar design sandals under the fitflop brand to step on the pedal of the bass drum as my request. Thank you.
fetish bait
The hi hat is too fast. I would make it slower and less accents.
Yeah, but its so difficult to control 😫
@@jubencore1950 ay the double bass is pretty good. Once you get that quarter note down on hi hat or crash you'll notice your double bass will improve along with it. And if you really wanna push yourself. Try playing the accents in the snare like you tomas haake
@@doxskew2221 that quarter note is so hard man..
@jubencore1950 you got it bro. it just can be more clean and in pocket. If you can play the herta on double bass you got the rest.
Almost got it! Just keep practicing and you’ll be killing it in no time.
Thanks man..
In FLIP FLOPS no less
Nice, you do RR L R LL R L? I recently discovered this pattern. Befire I did RR L L RR L L. The new pattern flows more but the old one gives a heavier, true bleed feeling. Not sure what I like the most. Try it out :)
Yes, thats exactly what i did, i iust find it easier than that of the original drummer did.
Come on, why are struggling to play the hardest bass drum pattern i know of? In all seriousness, keep it up and well done.
Thanks man.
@jubencore1950 kicked the hell out of anything I could do. Glad this randomly popped into my feed. Keep rocking and hope the music always brings you joy.

In flip flops?!?! That’s pretty impressive ngl
Good stuff' I played drums for a good 15 years .. the double bass pedal was always difficult for me' keep at it !!
Thanks man, 🙏

Hahahahaha my goal is to play a Lorna shore song someday... 😂 Flip flops is part of it.

triggers would have ruined the sound tbh
Hahahahah the truth is that I can't afford the triggers yet...
Those spl pedals are actually pearl eliminator clones. I was going to rebuild my eliminators but ended up just selling them for 2 pairs of these instead.
Got a link to the pedals?
Double pedal blasts?!! Cringe... nah but seriously, very clean playing. This is helping me understand and develop my heel toe technique as well.
I like this channel. keep it up 🤟
Thanks man,,,,
man, that cymbal is hurting my ears, but good job
Sorry about that... I'm just recording it on my phone...
Thank you man... I'll make it soon...
does seat height matter? i play low seat height
For me, it does, but it's not to low, about a little bit above the knee level...
keep it up bro. may double peds na ako. pa suggest naman mga bands na medyo easy lang icover newbie pa ako sa double peds.
Kung sa deathcore bro then may background kana sa heel-toe pwede ka sa impending doom or suicide silence...

😂😂😂 I'm cool with it.!
In the flip flops! Nice!

It's a little bit above the middle of the bass drum..
Hi! Please play the drums using fitflop footwear asap.
