My First Time in Books A Million - Can NaNoWriMo Survive AI Mishap?
For weeks, the buzz words in the AuthorTube community are NaNoWriMo and AI, generative or other. I have given the topics a lot of thought to decide how I feel about it.
I also found and visited my local Books a Million store. I had no idea we had any in my area. But since I moved 12 miles North, I found my area much improved. Books A Million is nestled in Edwardsville Crossing and was surprisingly like B&N.

      It's sad because Nano was such a great writing community for so many authors for so long. I will look for that video. Thanks for letting me know.

    Books a Million has been my go to for two years, love it there. I agree about the seating. I like that you've chosen to write at your own pace rather than stick with nano just for the community. NANO is a interesting concept but it's become too much of a thing for me to continue to include it in my creative process. No idea what that drink you had was but i'll try one next trip to the book store

      I had a Chai Tea Latte at the bookstore. It was good. The one I drank in the video was the same, but my homemade version of it. I loved the atmosphere in Book A Million. I suppose I could bring a cushion to sit on. Thank you for watching.

    Great tips, Wanita! Agreeing on a timeline or soft deadline for sending feedback is so important. I have one CP that replies with feedback within 24 hours and another that replies within a week. Both are totally fine, but only because we had discussed expectations beforehand. Thank you so much for helping out with this match up!

    I really understand the dejection & hope from having to build up to the dream life & working on mindset & energy first. Your commitment & investment in yourself is inspirational. I was working a job last year that cut back my hours to the point of threat of homelessness. It was brutal. I almost got lost in noise of working upwards towards that. Time and time again the universe pushed back on me progressing in that & kept putting resources in my path. It took me till August to leave first, get disability support & really ask those career shaping, heart beat & soul questions about who I am & want to be. I see & hear so much hope in this video. You are dedicated to sitting down & going deep & that takes courage to do. Piece by piece. I just wanted to let you know sone rando 😅 out there in the universe can't wait to follow you on your journey.

      I am so glad to hear that your journey may be getting better. I feel like the universe tries to help by pointing you towards the right resources. She wants to see us all succeed and prosper I think. I feel like I have been neglecting UA-cam lately because of my health issues with my vision, so I feel grateful for your support and encouragement.

      Hello. I am using footage from several different sources. The overhead was filmed with my cellphone using an overhead arm, and the face footage was filmed on my camera. When I uploaded the footage in my video editing software I could change the size and location of the boxes and stack them. I use Davinci Resolve. It has a really good free version.

    Hey! I feel you about making excuses about the gym. My current reason for not going is I'm only motivated to go in the mornings but my husband takes the car to work and I can't POSSIBLY go in the evenings. Anywho, I've heard so much about the HB90 Bootcamp and have been tempted to try it out but scheduling things so far in advance is daunting to me. I'm always thinking "Well, what if something comes up and I can't follow through." Most I'll schedule is two to three months in advance. Anywho. Good luck with scheduling, hopefully, everything works out.

    • @wanitascreativecorner
      @wanitascreativecorner Рік тому

      I am going to the gym today with my sister for the last time since I am starting a new job on Monday. I feel like it may free me up to take control again and go by myself. Also, HB90 Bootcamp is not a one way fits all method. She makes it clear in her videos that the planning can be adjusted to match your own style and your own comfort levels. You can schedule for one week, one month, or three months in advance. My problem at first was that I created broad goals without any knowledge of what each involved or how long it would take. Sarra helps break down the goals into projects and projects into individual tasks. Each quarter you use it, it becomes more intuned to your needs. A lot of people have reviews on google and youtube if you want to check them out. Enrollment will open up again in Mid-September for the 3rd quarter of 2023.

    It sounds like you're investing in yourself and really making progress towards your goal. I have been debating about Publish and Thrive, what was your favourite part about the course?

    • @wanitascreativecorner
      @wanitascreativecorner Рік тому

      Besides Sarra's obvious charisma and passion for self-publishing, I feel like there are a ton of resources in the course. She starts by helping you set up a good business/publishing strategy. Her videos were indepth about all aspects of the business, like writing, editing, marketing, mailing lists, and social media. She just re-recorded all of the videos, but last year there were videos showing step by step instructions on how to publish your book in all the major book selling sites. She also gives information on small things you would never think of like Metadata, taglines, blurbs, taxes, budgets, sales tracking, return on investment (ROI), and a lot of other stuff. I know it is a big investment, but with the amount of information she gives you I think it is worth it. Another Authortuber put out a video that gives you a breakdown of the course. ua-cam.com/video/5i4hxXIYwI4/v-deo.html If you are interested in finding out more. :)

    Hi 👋 My goal for Camp Nano April is to finish my rough draft of a shark shifter romance story I started last year. I thought picking a story that already has something written would be best because I haven't written much since December 2020. I'm starting today with reading what I already have and organize it so I know what's going on. I feel related to what happen to you about the copies so that's why I'm reading before because I was ready to just jump right in LOL
