I have the same background and our food is awesome but most have meats but my Baba also made beans different ways and delicious rice too. I’m vegetarian now so this video is excellent! I had to laugh at all of the oil and vegeta, definitely typical and delicious! I can eat pita for every meal…

I made these and they were great 🤤 I did use canned beans and lessened the water volume and boiling time, as I wasn't prepared. I was going off what I had in the house. Luckily I did still have some old dried chilies hanging up from when Baba was around.
