SUPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR🗣️🔥❗️🗣️❗️👺👺⭕️🗣️👺🗣️🗣️👺🔥
That’s freaking hilarious and now I can’t unsee or unhear it and I love it 😂
I think the bead of sweat on Mihawk is him realizing "oh shit, this guy has massive potential actually. I wanna see how far he goes"
Yeah, I think that about sums it up! There's more to Zoro than he originally expected.
"He has 3 hands" uhhhhhhh 😅
I bet the Black Cat Pirates submit their TPS reports.
How has no one commented on this video yet?
We don't get a lot of listeners, but any feedback is certainly appreciated!
How many Charlotte gazelle blockers you playing?
I was running 3 at the time of this match, but I've since updated my list to remove them. I wasn't playing Shirahoshi in this list I was trying so I added them in. I think the Galette is a viable option still, I just think the slot has better options.
I think on turn three of your opponent he swung with six not seven with his leader so you might have countered too much
Katakuri's leader effect adds +1k to his power when attacking with 1 Don attached. He can also look at the top card of your life or your opponent's, though it's not required to get the additional power!
@@piratekingcodex oh makes sense. 👍
What program are you playing this game on?
I'm playing on OPTCG Sim created by Batsu. It's available on PC, Mac, Android, iPhone, and Linux!
First!
It's alright, I don't think you have much competition!
@@piratekingcodex ya i do!
What software game do you use?
I've been playing using OPTCG Sim created by Batsu. If you're in the One Piece Card Game Discord, they have a channel for it with a pin that explains where you can find it and install it. It's available on PC, Mac, Android, iOS, and Linux!
Where can I look at JP tourney results for this game?
The best places I've found are onepiecetopdecks.com and the One Piece Card Game Facebook page. Some players post their lists on Twitter as well.
@@piratekingcodex thanks! I assume its the One Piece Card Game Global group in facebook? I don't use facebook so I am not sure.
That's right, but it's a private group. The One Piece Card Game Discord should have people sharing results as well so it's another good resource!
king as a leader is super bleh but i made a list that works really really well for him xD you can make any leaeder work you just have to build around the leader and omit things youd normally think are a staple of that col;or xD
Oh I believe that any leader can work, it's just some aren't as strong as others. King for example does not provide any benefit over Kaido so if your goal is to make the strongest deck, you're better off playing Kaido. If your goal is to make a deck that works and is fun to play with, you can do that with any leader. I think most other leaders offer something different than their color counterparts but King and Kaido have the same cardpool though King has a less relevant leader ability for the cards currently available. There's also potential for future cards to make King better!
@@piratekingcodex definitely agree haha i have one of every deck, king was just the hardest to make work lol i omit alot of the don minus cards and ramp into big beefy boys asap alot of time between the big beefy purple drops and the low drop blockers you can do a low high spread each turn and apply alot of pressure, in some situations it kinda slaps. xD
Opinion on raizos?
Raizo is a card that I like less the more I think about it, but I want to like it more. If you can protect it behind 8 cost Kid, it gives you a consistent engine to draw, but at other stages of the game it's less helpful. You need to commit an extra Don to get to 5k swings and if your board is getting wiped, it doesn't do anything. It has a counter and is searchable with Momo, but I prefer it at a lower count.
@@piratekingcodex thanks for your input. And what about basil hawkins?
I don't find Hawkins as useful once you've setup your 8 cost Kid. The lack of counter hurts as well. It does help in the mirror match though! It's a good way to take out an opposing 8 cost Kid. If your local meta is heavy on Green Kid, it might be worth running.
Deck list is similar to mine. Looks good! Only major difference is i run hawkins but i might try without and see how it goes.
I've found it runs smoother without Hawkins, but I could also see also making room even as a two-of. I've found it less useful over time with a heavy Red meta at my locals. I do think it would help against Purple matchups before 9 or 10 cost Kaido drops.
@@piratekingcodex so far with testing i noticed it mainly helps with law match ups which i like. But the other match ups like you said going 8 drop gets the job done.
I was hoping to see some blue or purple :(
I believe Blue Ivankov just topped at another large event! The meta is shifting away from Zoro and is becoming more balanced. We'll start seeing other decks perform well, so don't worry!
In the kid deck are the yamatos 2 and 2 because they share a name? I know it's for a good balence but I was wondering about that.
This game doesn't restrict the number of cards used in a deck by character name, only by card number. They could have put up to 4 copies of both Yamato, but likely only chose 2 of each to balance the deck. Some decks will put 4 copies of OP-02 Yamato, but my guess would be they only put 2 due to the lack of counter and plan to rely more on Cat Viper throughout and use Yamato for cases where there is a bigger target.
@@piratekingcodex restricting by card number is an awesome way to do it. Really loving how simple the game is to play but how big of an emphasis there is on your choices. Really makes me feel free when deck building. I know that a few decks feel strong but just in pubs it feels like anything can win.
@@phlipinator904 I totally agree! The game rules are fairly simple, but playing the game is deceptively challenging when you need to make decisions. Many times the game is lost not in the last round, but at some point earlier if you fail to setup properly or don't control your opponent's board. As for the deck building, sometimes it feels as though some of the conventional decisions I've picked up from other games don't apply. It's more common for decks to have vanilla cards or several copies of high cost cards, for example. Bandai also created the game to feel really balanced where, as you said, it feels like any deck can really do well.
How goes kid deal with kaido play style wise? I’ve always had trouble with that match up.
Kaido is a tricky matchup. Generally, you want to get early game aggresion to try to get them down as much life as possible, ideally down to 1. They have a lot of removal options so a lot of times you'll rely on leader ability and discard cards you won't get to have stick. If they start to fill their board with blockers, you should start trying to build a board too. You want to hold stuff back in case of 10 drop Kaido board wipe, but play enough to tempt them to drop it. If they are down to 1 life and they have to play 10 drop Kaido, this is your chance to swing all in with leader, then activate leader ability to swing again. 9 drop Kaido is what you want to avoid seeing as it can even KO blocker Law, but if you can establish a board, 8 cost Kid is bait for them to board wipe. It's definitely not an easy matchup and it takes practice. Let me know if these tips help!
@@piratekingcodex thanks for the tips!!!
What is nice is, if these decks manage to kick down the turbo rush deck, some purple and blue decks can come back to counter those, wich will bring back red and balance it out.
I think Bandai did a really great job making the game feel balanced. While I do think most of the two color leaders (except Law) are at a disadvantage, the game does seem to have a lot of viable options. We'll see if that stays true as Black and Yellow get thrown into the mix. As more cards are introduced, the more difficult it becomes to have the meta be balanced.
I'm actually really surprised there is no Okiku in the first place list.
Agreed! This surprised me too. Most Green lists run even as many as 4. I think Okiku is normally good into Zoro, but not entirely sure with the OP-02 meta revolving around cheap attackers so it's probably too slow without any particularly good targets.
Just noticed that.. huh. think if I were to make a list using that one as a reference though, I’d probably drop an 8c Kid, and then 1-2 Raizo and a Gibson to at least play 3 Okikus if I felt I needed to play her in the list. Those cards seem like the easiest to drop. Shachi could maybe go too, but him being a 4k blocker is good against cards like Robin.
@@Sound_Echoes Those are good points! I found the 4 Kids and 4 Punk Gibson to be a bit high and I don't really like the Raizo from my testing. This list worked though so I can't argue with the results! The Shachi being out of Robin range is also another really great point!
@Pirate King Codex here me out on raizo. This guy is going for the dream combo. 8 cost kid, 5 cost law, raizo, seacher and optional chump blocker. You start you turn with this set up with the search. Bonnie's best for more blockers. Then attack with raizo. Draw a card, even if there is no target. Attack 2 on leader and swing double 7s, attack one to kid and swing for 9. Then you should have 3 left for cheap blocker or events. This takes on average 4 to 7 or even 10 cards out of there hand a turn. I am not the best green player but I think that's what his going for. Pure value by making people handless.
BTW just a theory! Also Yamato makes a lot more scenes in that aspect since they have! To block it. If they do. Cards out of hand. If they dont... well no cards added. This type of play style I find so fascinating!!
In Japanese the ship called going merry go, as you said the word 'go' is a suffix attached to names of ship, train, etc. In official anime eng dub they called her going merry, in official eng manga by Viz they called her merry go, and the straw hats called her merry.
Yeah! It gets tricky between the different versions and different translations from each other. I think when it comes down to it, it's just personal preference.
@@piratekingcodex yepp agreed
Zoro : where's kuina? Kuinas father : she killed her .... I mean she died from stairs.... Zoro : what?!?!
Gotta watch out for those stairs! They could be anywhere...

Keep it up 🥰
Thank you! I still have a lot more content on the way, so stay tuned!
People complaining about zoro when kid has always been the more broken deck. Kid was the best dexk innset 1 not surprised to see it can remain that way for set 2
Kid is easily one of the best decks in OP-01, but the OP-01 meta has been pretty balanced. When the meta isn't established, aggro decks tend to do well, but Zoro in particular gained a lot of new tools in OP-02 that made it the deck to beat. As people adapt to the meta, it shifts. It seems OP-02 is getting to that point now with both Japan and Singapore having large events with Green 1st place decks.
This is awesome! I've only just started to look at set 2 stuff, especially the decks shown here. Great job explaining all the card choices!
Thank you! Really appreciate the positive feedback!
Hi, where i see the others deck uu
Unfortunately I don't have access to the other deck lists and I'm not aware of their lists being available. Sometimes the players will post their lists on Twitter or behind a pay wall. I tried seeing if I could track some down, but didn't have any luck.
What’s the website you’re using?
@@andreelmatacoronavirusquin1322 onepiece-cardgame.dev/cards It's a really great site to build decks and search for cards!
How can i get this game? and where?
We played this game using Tabletop Simulator which can be purchased through Steam, but there are also free options out there. People have been playing using OPTCG Sim created by @BatsuTCG that looks great, but I haven't tried it yet. This match, we used the cards from Set 2 that released in Japan, but the game just officially released set 1 in the US last week. The best place to find cards would be your local game store, but others have reported finding packs at Target. There's also the option to buy with online retailers.
Blackbeard can't put back jimbei to his hand because Jimbei is 4 cost not 3 cost.
Good catch! They've also since issued an errata with the official English translation that allows it to be up to 1 card instead of forcing a card to be returned.
Question. Who's who is a 3 cost but the trigger says play this card does that mean it's free to play?
The trigger ability only applies if you take a Life from damage and this is the card. At that time, you can choose to activate the trigger ability or just put it in your hand without revealing. If you choose to reveal it and activate the trigger ability, you would play the card for free. Otherwise, trigger abilities won't apply if it's in your hand and you would pay the cost as normal.
Got some pretty handsome hosts here, if I do say so myself.

Good question! This event took place before the bans and I believe the reason they were banned was due to not all countries in Asia having access to those cards.
Nice. Kaido best deck
The best way for kaido to deal with the 7 cost kid is to bait the block😊
What website are you using to play?
We played the games using Tabletop Simulator on Steam. There's an automated mod that can be installed once you've purchased the game and it'll be setup like this with the starter decks loaded. There's also a feature to import custom decks from onepiece-cardgame.dev/cards
You might say we got...Vegapunk'd.
Oooooh, now I'm thinking I should have used Ashton Kutcher for my thumbnail.
What's the website you are looking at?
onepiece-cardgame.dev/cards It's a great resource for checking out the database for the most recent cards revealed and for building your own decks!
Sheepshead smoke!
People have been sleeping on Sheepshead!
Kids ability to attack twice is just nasty. Also they are releasing a new carrot and it's awesome art! nitter.net/pic/orig/media%2FFd3j75DaIAAuUM5.jpg
It's so strong! Until the game introduces a way to prevent leaders from attacking, your opponent will have to be prepared for two big attacks that could end the game even if they clear the board. The Carrot art in Sulong form looks awesome. I don't know how strong it will be as it's a 5000 power for 5 cost and the added value of its effect to untap Don will depend on how many turns it stays on the field and what you use the Don for during your opponent's turn. The +2000 counter is nice though!
Thanks. I was trying to make a good mono red luffy deck and I was having trouble. This was a big help
I'm glad this video helped! We'll see if the meta shifts in Japan when they have more large scale tournaments and when the game officially releases in the US, but these lists are a great place to start.
We learn from our mistakes so it’s okay to make mistakes especially during playtest sessions 😁
100%! That's the time to make mistakes. A lot of this game comes down to experience. By making mistakes, you can learn what does and doesn't work.
Subbed please do more
Thank you! I have some more gameplay videos I'm hoping to get out this week and I'm beginning work on a new One Piece project this week as well! I'm also in the process of finding people in my area to practice with in person for the Deck Limited Battle meta, then next month I'll shift focus on competitive decks before the official release of Romance Dawn.
Good videos. Gained a sub here. Hope you do more of those, and with physical copies now that they are available in english.
Thank you! That's definitely my goal. I'm hoping that the Super Pre-Release will help the local stores get some traction so I can find some play test partners. There seems to be a good amount of interest so I'm optimistic the game will pick up!
Have you ever thought about getting good?
Haha I've considered it! Haven't decided yet though.
4:50 I'm not sure if drake gets the extra 1k damage for being rested because the ability should activate after the attack. If I'm wrong than that's a cool trick I learned
He does! He is rested when being declared as an attacker, which causes his ability to kick in. During the damage calculation step, the game would check if he is rested at that time when the +1000 is applied. The card also does not state the effect only applies to other characters and leaders, so it applies to him as well. This is a common question and a scenario that is likely to come up when playing!
Please note: These are games with new players so there will be suboptimal plays. Some are still learning how the game works and are new to TCGs, so there will be mistakes! I'm hoping to create some more competitive content in the future outside of the starter deck meta.
If you dont try to fake him with you 1 waste don, you would perform better.
Thanks for the feedback! This is something I go back and forth on. Generally, you don't want to waste Don, but you also don't want your opponent to know they can freely attack without worrying about an Event counter. Sometimes the bluff is worth doing if it will cause your opponent to play differently.
Goodluck growing ur page:)
Thank you! I love the series and wanted a way to be able to engage with fellow fans. I want to help grow the fandom and encourage others to experience just how amazing One Piece is!
