Really wish I had that sultai list! I love Nexus of fate :( Also, your discord link is broken! If that players in your discord I'd love to ask for it instead :)
Counter Magic is poor vs Storm. Play a hate piece and protect it
Feels bad that the affinity player tapped out for that thought cast in the beginning because the citadels are still artifacts.
Great match!
Thanks for the post! Glad you enjoyed it!
19:56 - Tamiyo should have flipped.
Yeah, should have flipped before the combat step when the flame was cast. Would have had one less clue and couldn't have been able to flare of denial.
hey would love decklists in description
We have tried to find suitable way to get the decklists, but with it being an FNM, we have yet to find an efficient way. Sorry about that.
Woah, yall got mics out there! Nice!
We sure do!!
So game 1 is a GRV Isaiah. Ral flips and only gets 7 total loyalty. You used the total storm count as count for Ral's loyalty when in fact Ral does not count itself towards loyalty that he gains when he flips. Game 2 you did the same thing From now on Storm will need a separate Ral tracker
The last game was very scuffed. First the wrong mana was tapped for “Safekeeping” then the player on the left scooped to fast. Also the “slip out the back” was never shown or verbalized during the game. Finally the explore putting things to the graveyard is optional so things shouldn’t have been milled and the player on the left should have won or got a draw.
Yes, it was a mess. The judged ruled it was a draw, but let the left player concede because the left player wanted to.
3:54 average mtg tournament conversion
Matt and Tyler are friends that like to pick on each other, but I know what you mean.
I conceded to Ryan in the finals to give him the invite, so he won the tournament
Domain Scam* not Living End
Sure is! Thanks for that and it has been corrected.
Nice 👍🏻
Thanks ✌️
Was wondering why didn't lamplight combo fire off with endurance trigger on the stack at 14.30min. 4 enablers enough to mill himself and then mill opp. He could have won! Unless opp has another endurance in his hand.
Not sure! Thanks for the comment.
Surprisingly commentators didnt know the Lamplight combo!
We know it now!!😊 Thanks for the comment!
@@takeactiongaming574 there is also a nice 2 card crime synergy hopefully to see in here. Forsaken Miner + Goblin Bombardment mainly. Added with Pitiless plunder for an infinite loop!
Why not black monkey with Sanctifer in game one?
There's something wrong with video. It's constantly flashing
Thank you, we will check into it!
Although it took forever to get to your discussion of the actual movie I’m glad I had the patience to wait. I was unsure, having never listened to your content before what your opinion would be of this movie, but your discussion definitely kept me engaged once you got to it and I hope you all eventually do cover other films by LVT on this channel as well as the sequel Maderlay as his stuff can really get under your skin (mind you, in a good way). To quote Trier, “A good film should be like a pebble in your shoe” and this film has been that pebble in mine ever since the first time I saw it.
Sorry we missed your comment and we thank you for it! We will most certainly check some other films out by LVT and the sequel Maderlay. Thank you for the recommendation.
Awesome! Looking forward to it!
min 13:00 grazer and token should die
If you're on Living End: You know your opponent is playing Amulet Titan and he hasn't played Grazer, Amulet, Spelunking with his 3 mana up I can assume his hand is Land, Impactful Creatures, and maybe a Ring. I had Force for Ring so why would I risk putting an impactful creature in his graveyard when I couldn't provide lethal? When you sideboard you cut all 4 Grief since all 14 of his creatures are too impactful to allow him to reanimate. This includes Grazer!
There is absolutely no way I should've won game 1. If Isaiah responds to second Grief with Rit, Morphose, Gifts and finds 3 mana sources and a Past in Flames I'm stone dead
Decklists?
I don't like this video because I specifically searched for Living End gameplay, only to have the announcers trash talk the deck. Not the first time they've done it either. Probably not going to watch this channel again.
I like the content but the microphones are not clear and have to much echoing.
Thank you for the comment. I am looking to resolve this as the rest of the tournament mics sounded normal.
living end fucking sucks, amazing commentary though
The problem is no one in the room prepared properly for Living End. Even though the House Invitational has been won by Living End all year long. Each event 2-4 people are piloting it and it's been the most represented in the room
@@pikachuhoodie very true, but i just personally dislike the lack of play involved in living end. Usually it cast 1-3 spells in a game, with the extra 2 being to protect living end. just not enjoyable imo
@@PatrickRobby I believe that's less living ends fault and more indicative of cascade being an awful mechanic. Violent Outburst, at a minimum, should've been banned with the Valki/Tibalt rules change.
Oh I 100% agree, and I am throwing no stones at the player, he seemed good. Just not a huge amount of play to the deck at the moment. @@pikachuhoodie
@@PatrickRobby so I rewatched G1 and Coffers threw as hard as he could. His 8 card hand on turn 1 is Grief, Swamp, Thoughtseize, Rebirth, field of ruin, 2 Voidwalker, and Shadow of doubt. His Grief should've 1st grabbed Shardless Agent since LE didn't have red mana in hand. Then give his opponent the option to force by showing rebirth. If they force it oh well because he can recover on turn 2 by thoughtseizing violent outburst. Make his opponent actually draw the out
god damn i hate both of these decks
why cheat on cam dawg
Where was this at in the video? Thanks!
@@takeactiongaming574 see @tantrum2392's comment
@@takeactiongaming574 @5:55 you untap for turn draw city of brass and play it thats land 1. you cast ad naus opponent tries force it. You spoils naming pact you counter force, ad naus resolves. you pick up deck opponent flashes binding targeting your pentad, you flick the dice like a cool guy floating a blue you continue to go through deck playing gemstone you play gemstone that makes land 2 then you cast thassa's. thats 2 lands in 1 turn. stop scumming people.
Hello, I'm a French Hardened Scales player. At 8'20, the Scales player didn't need to sacrifice the green Ozolith: sacrifice the Ravager: the Nexus gets five counters (6/6), the Ozolith four counters thanks to the green Ozolith effect: combat, put the Ozolith counters on the Ravager (4+2): it's a 13/13!
Thank you for the line. I (Matt) have been playing the deck religiously for a year and I am still working seeing all the best lines. I tend to struggle with sac'ing my field early and getting blown out.
👍 'promosm'
Are the lists available anywhere?
They are not. We are working on the best way to do that!
Not to be a wiener but tom deciding to ignore Elesh Norn and not make constructs was a wiff. On Brian's side when he played windswept heath with Nissa and Omnath out he supposed to get 4 triggers. 2 Omnath & 2 Nissa.
Wiener:)
Y’all selling those sleeves??
We are not at the moment. A local player had them made at Dragon Shield.
Void mirror is good against players casting spells for free. The evoke elementals and cascade. Even mono green tron doesn't always have green mana too spend.
Thanks for the comment!
The Ad Nause player cheated. They played 2 lands for turn in game 1. Played City of Brass, then played gemstone for the win with thassa's
2 explores
I'm glad you saw that because I missed it completely. I honestly forgot I had played a land but luckily we stream our FNMs. I use our streams as an opportunity to check if I'm being sloppy (which I was). We're all friends at the store and I called myself out way before anyone commented. Everyone was cool and we all agreed that that's what FNM is for - Getting the mistakes in check
Ad Naus list?
You guys have the Ad Nauseam list???
We do not. Sorry. We are working on an efficient way to get them!
@@takeactiongaming574 thxx!!!
You have the lists???
Lotr really added some awesome pieces to UB. Sweet game, awesome piloting Isaiah!
Couldn't agree more!
Endurance actually prevents me from winning with Thassa's Oracle
Great episode! Just subscribed 🙏
Fantastic! Thanks for the sub! Check out our Podcast on Google, Apple and Spotify.
Is this commentary or just a roast session ?
It depends on the night:)
Love the chemistry and banter between the commentators on this channel. Thanks for providing this awesome modern mtg coverage!
You are very welcome! Thank you for the kind comment.
8:15 zoo player dead on board + makes no sense to play passive there since he is in bolt range
That is a tough thing to do sometimes, when to be aggressive and when to play safe.
The scales player had lethal 10 ways to Sunday game 1. Dude literally just had to attack and sac his board lol.
Magic is hard:) Especially scales!
Maybe the worst hammer time player ever?
That's harsh! We are all at different levels and continue to learn this game we love.
I've only been going to the shop since BFZ and they forgot my name. LOL.
Sorry about that Jim.
Any deck list for owling mine? I know it's been quite a long time
No there isn't. Sorry about that. We are still working on the best way to get deck lists in an efficient manner since we do this every Friday! Thanks for the comment.
This is not Mono White... it literally has Omnath in it.
You are correct! Thanks for catching our error.
The burn should win in round 1 the enemy tape out lava spike 3 lighting bolt 3 enemy life 5 should win
Gotta remember that Eldritch Evo exiles after the spells resolves.
