As a part of Horsham's 2024 Art Is...Festival, the Band performed this beautiful piece of music, composed by James Swearingen. The video footage picks up the theme with views of the boatshed on Dove Lake in the Cradle Mountain National Park....Tasmania.

Mokes to Cheviot Tunnel

The Moke Owners Association held a day trip to visit the former Railway Tunnel at Cheviot, near Yea. The Railway, constructed in 1889, ceased operations in 1970. Today, the railway reserve and tunnel are an important part of the Great Victorian Rail Trail.

As a part of Horsham's annual Art Is...Festival (FM Alistair Shaw), a concert was held in the Horsham Town Hall featuring....The ITET Gariwerd String Quartet, Horsham Rural City Band and The Nick Shirrefs Ensemble. Each group provided their interpretation on the "Fire" Festival theme.

The South Australian Moke Club ran a special event in March 2023. Mini Moke owners from around Australia headed to Nuriootpa in the Barossa Valley. Mokin' SA included a public Show & Shine, day trips to various locations, including The Bend Motorsport Park, and a Presentation Dinner. The Moke Owners Association has held regular trips throughout Victoria, and Australia, since the Club started in 1969. This clip features some Super 8 footage of an Easter trip to the Grampians National Park, a Winter trip to Lake Mountain and a bush trip east of Melbourne.....in the 1980's..

The South Australian Moke Club held a 4 day Moking Convention in South Australia's Barossa Valley in March 2023. A highlight of the Event was an opportunity to get the Mokes out onto the track at 'The Bend Motorsport Park' at Tailem Bend.

Every year when we do assembly at my school they play this to get kids to come over its do funny seeing everyone run over to dance to it

Wow, we did this at school in the 1970's (ie when it started - the song was released in 1973, exactly 40yrs ago). We had fun. It's still the only dance I know (ie the Macarena is too complicated by comparison).
When I used to go night clubbing... 90's we would do nutbush. Awesome. I did it alone at local oval today just for the fun of it..well especially for Tina😊

I had a Moke when I was 18, and loved that thing despite it being a bodged up rusty heap we were ripped off in buying. Never forget the fun on the Old Pacific Hwy between Mt White and Cowan. Crescent Heads surf trip. 30 years ago now....but remember it so well. Would love a sorted out Moke now.
