Why don’t you use the <best st> soft key? It gets you to the beginning of the sample then you *delete before soft st*

Great video. When you truncate the start of your sound, pitch down the speed (in TUNE here) and also in PROGRAM/SOUNDS-2. You'll see that there is a lot of silent space before the start of your sound. And for the end of the sound, go until the next kick and then go backwards slightly, otherwise you'll always truncate yous sample too short. Watch my channel, the Bible of MPC 3000. Does the format feature work. With SD cards...?

Awesome video Chris! Did you ever run into an issue when trying to save a PRGM or SND in another partition than the A of the SCSI? For some reason, mine freezes when I'm trying to save an SND on part B (but part A works fine).

The only thing missing from the Vailixi update was the ability to loop, I really wish he had added that. The ability to edit the sample while a seq is playing was a god send for me.

Chris, I really liked this video - excellent! There is some missing info when you get to the part of moving sample files SND from the Mac onto the memory card. The files are named Snare (3).snd, but in the MPC you see that the names are mangled at the end. That is because the MPC writes non-8.3 file names in a manner that neither the PC or Mac support. So surely you can do this, but it's really problematic when you have a PGM and SND that you move. After you move them, the SND's will be unlinked to the PGM. I suggest using my company's Translator program to move files - you have access to ALL partitions and the long file names carry over correctly.

Do you know if it's possible to sample from MPC to MPC? For example, I want to use SD card to get the sounds to the machine and then resample those via audio inputs.

copy to SND is the #1 feature I'd like to have on the mpc60, along with being able to play a sequence while editing a sample. Vailixi really seems amazing
link 2 buy and i don't have the Valixi its the normal mpc 3000 which I'm having trouble getting sound from it unless i tap the soft key 1 I've loaded the pads in pro 1 it was working but once i went to record i it wasn't giving sound from the pads ... restore defaults???

well, i got SD FuzinMonster installed with Vailixi 3.50 Os. Works perfect.
I've got a RaizinMonster and the SCSI2SD v5.0 card in my 3000LE. IMHO... Go with the SCSI2SD card. It's cheaper in price and has more features than the FuzinMonster and RaizinMonster. Contact KanamitMPC to hook you up.

i get it I could bang that out but deff super annoying from a guy who is coming from later mpc models lol I wonder how much less the workflow is chopping samples on the original os of the 3000 lol but the sound that comes out of that mpc3000 there is nothing more punchier than the coloring of that machine except the mpc60
