I've owned 4 flat coated retrievers in 35 years and they are very very special.

She is beautiful! I had a flat-coated retriever named, Dude. He lived to be 15 years old and he passed 17 years ago. He was the most loyal, loving dog. He would have died to protect me. I took him everywhere, except work. I can't wait to see him again in Heaven!! I pray Penny gets to live with you for the rest of her life and that she will be safe, happy and healthy enjoying her life with you as much as Dude did with me. Thanks for sharing her with us. We have a flat coated male, a year old now. We have wooded walking trails behind us but I am afraid to take him off the leash as he runs constantly and I not sure if he will come back if I unleash him. Can anyone add comments on this. Thanks

I have a flat coated retriever who is 3 and although he is very energetic and absolutely insane, he is such a gorgeous and goofy boy and Id have him no other way

My Flatty is 10 years old and she still acts like a puppy. Her love for water is unmatched although bath time is another story. I know she is getting up there in age for the breed and I dread the day she is not here. Flatty are a gift, they just want to love and give you so much.

This dog. This breed. ❤Had mine to let go. The heart-break never healed. And as much as I just love dogs, the hurt of the parting is so deep, I cannot stand that again. So now I'm a very good 'auntie' and I spoil all my overnight guest-dogs, giving them mine / our best time.

The dog is extremely cute! 😍 But I will never understand why breeders separate the puppies from their mother before the age of 12 weeks.

Im crying...she reminds me so much of of my flat coated retriever. He was with us for 13 years. I grew up with him. Sadly he passed 27. jan 2021...i miss him so much
