As a retired prosecutor after 20 years, I have attended many Prop 36/drug court sessions as the prosecutor, especially when i was the assigned narc, until I could just scream. Most of them just go through the motions to avoid jail, play the game, and once completed, they go out getting drugs again. Some judges are so delusional they actually believe that they are doing good by refusing to fail repeat offenders and give them some "grey bar" therapy. I had one judge who would reprimand me in open court for not letting in enough defendants. The judicial--rehabilitation complex gives more money for more warm bodies so there is always a financial interest. The local paper in the capital did an in depth survey and found that their county's Prop 36 had a 24% success rate after two years graduation from Prop 36. That means it had a 76% FAILURE RATE! No program in the world can be called successful with a 76% failure rate. However, once in a while I bump into a former druggie who actually thanked me for throwing the book at them and pushing for prison. That woke them up, and they got it together and rehabilitated themselves and got somewhere in life. I would tell them a little secret. I dont get happy pushing people to prison. I get satisfaction from people who succeed and get on with life. One of my druggies came up to me a few weeks before I retired and told me she is now the manager of the transition house. I said, "You're the house mother?" She said no, she is actually the manager. I told her congratulations. And wished her well. Another guy went through a "tough love" live in program in San Francisco. He told me he cleaned up and became one of the supervisor s there and gave me his card. He was so proud of himself. I kept his card in my desk for a long time. Then I saw him in custody one morning in jail garb and chains. He told me he fell off the wagon. He looked so ashamed of himself. He was probably more ashamed as I was there that morning. Before the judge came in, I told him, "Get your ass off the floor and get back on the wagon! I was so proud of you. You had made it. I kept your card in my desk all this time! So you fell off. Get back on the horse!" I lost touch with him after that. But I always remembered him. No judge, some druggies commit crimes to support their habit. Some criminals just do drugs because they like the high and being stoned. So how do you seperate the druggies who just steal or burglarize to support the habit from the criminals who just enjoy drugs? The fact is they are committing a crime just having the drugs and being under the influence of drugs. So they are crimibals. Don't white wash the truth, judge. I've seen enough criminals coach each other to just cry in front of a certain judge and beg for a "program" from a delusional judge who believed that a program solves all problems. Criminals are not that stupid. They can tell what weak spot a judge has and play to that weakness.

Your probate court 2 administration Sylvia Alvarez hangs up on people who are calling in to check docket and is bias to those who are disabled or in need of explanation. Does the judge know who and what her admin for the court does? She needs a mental hearing on her capacity to take calls for Probate court 2. She hung up on me 2x and placed me on hold 3x never returning~ bias and discriminatory as she laughs at a survivor of domestic violence. Shame on her- this gas been a very unfair and bias handling on my case on the estate of my husband and have yet to be place on the docket to see the judge for 3 years. Is there some one who I can speak with to report the poor and unprofessional manner in which i have been treated by this administrator who has been bias and "why" - I don't know her...? Huumm does she know the creditors? I wonder what kind of pay she is getting to throw me under a bus- when all I have asked is for justice. Looks like the inventory is wrong but who cares about efile- it does not work hor this court but federal court no problem. Maybe it where I need to take this case- something unjust is going on in this court.
