Stunning and thought provoking movie!

I know the story is based on an actualsimilar case in World War II. I just wonder if the name RYAN for itself is not a hommage to CORNELIUS RYAN the author of the original books THE LONGEST DAY and A BRIDGE TO FAR,, which were lateron turned into movies under the same name . Also top movies in their own right Some of those scenes in SAVING PRIVAT RYAN remind a lot at episodes frome the Sixties TV series COMBAT! about an American Squad in France in World War II the pilot to be exact; THE FORGOTTEN FRONT was the episodes name - it is also complete on UA-cam Just think at the scene with the prisoned German. That reminded a lot at the Pilot of COMBAT ! THE FORGOTTEN FRONT COMBAT! can be seen almost complete on UA-cam

the trolls franchises garbage and this movie reminds me why I hate this franchise

It really was a great movie. I haven't watched it in 20 years. It's about time I rewatch it.

I watched this so many times on cable as a kid.

Love this film

Lack of execution. I feel like it has a good story but it never takes off. The dialogue is the biggest offender written in a mediocre script. And some people just didnt perform. Props to the girls that were the best part of the story even tho Dakota wasnt all there to complement Sweeny and the other two
