    Currently Copilot is way way way too slow. It has come to this where if I use Copilot for something I go get a coffee while it's thinking. Or in some cases the draft or summary, I could've probably done it faster myself 😂

      Definitely agree with this. This is a really good opportunity for the Copilot+ PC in the long-term - shift some AI processing to local hardware on supported devices so that things happen quicker.

    Hello, Thank you for the insights on the Copilot limitations. Can copilot help in email box management? For Ex: can it more effectively identify marketing emails and show me only the high priority emails? Can it learn from my input & manage my email box better? What can I expect from Copilot for my calendar management?

    • @brightideasagency
      @brightideasagency 16 годин тому

      Copilot is not (currently) a proactive tool that is going to help you manage anything without your explicit instructions. It can help find the emails for a specific request, but you have to initiate that request. This may change to some extent with the upcoming scheduled prompts features.

      I have no doubt this is the case. There is so much crapware out there with the only selling point being the infusion of AI, and even the big players continue to score own goals (ScarJo voice, no shipped new voice mode, Recall, Copilot vulnerabilities, AI overviews, faked demos etc etc) at an alarming pace. However, when all the hype settles down, I think we will find there is some real long-lasting benefit from this technology, even if it won't scale the heights of the monumental promises some have made.

    I had the opportunity to visit Google's new offices in New York in April. There we were showcased a pretty wild edition of SGE (Search Generated Experience iirc) They are obviously monetizing every pixel on the screen. But the product features were pretty wild and you could clearly see the direction they were going. Basically you get a custom webpage/landing page generated for you based on your search. Then advitisers kan blend in messages and contextual relevant adds. We also saw how e-commerce products would be weaved in or showcased. I asked a question around if they were thinking about building in commerce directly into that experience (handling basket, shipping and being the "sender" of the product) and he gave me a little side smile and said "yes" but couldn't elaborate and gave me the shush be quiet about it face 🤫. So will be interesting to see if any of that comes to market. They are at least not going to stand idle by and have their market taken away.

    Trying to drive adoption of Loop in my company but it's a bit of a tough sell at this point, for the reasons you mention. I'm especially disappointed with the very rudimentary "rules" functionality backed by Power Automate. They're pretty much useless so far.

    Hi Nick. Another great video. The poisoned and stale data is real issue and people will either trust or totally not trust data... Whilst services like defender can help protect against bad links, I'd like to see Copilot introduce native checks when linking to 3rd party links. Stale data is a huge issue.. I tend to see more people feeding copilot the data they want it grounded on... KEEP UP THE GREAT VIDEOS

    I am using both and Gemini so technically all three but in my experience co-pilot provides the most benefits and longevity of whatever project you are taking on and you can even create unique images. If you find yourself lacking in imagery, you can always tell the software to be a little bit more creative and it will give you something spectacular. I promise you. I can't vouch for chat GBT and Gemini because so far every time I put in something in detail it doesn't really express it the way that I want. But co-pilot somehow gets it right every single time a lot like mid journey. When it comes down to software check GBT is on point with software integration and how how the process works. It teaches you very well and even handle tasks that you might not be able to do on your own without a major team and the response is very fast when it comes to Gemini it is up to date on knowledge and talks to you more like a human being and it even forgets things. Of course that's all programming but from my experience it can handle tasks such as correct coding a little bit more effectively than gbt. They all make mistakes, but Gemini is a little bit more correct in terms of Android studio, but chat gbt is a little bit more correct in terms of whatever the hell Apple has going on and that's kind of weird because Microsoft is working with this company. But then again Google owns Android. My overall rating or ranking rather would put chat gbt second co-pilot first and Gemini 3rd but using all three software together will maximize your capability of getting any job done that you want. I was able to program a software and accomplish 40% with just myself and three different software that saved me $100,000 and a years of time. I believe it would take a full-fledged team a year. Maybe more to do what I'm doing and just one week

    How can I set up a virtual keyboard in my app for multiple labels? Like, switch between them with a click while keeping just one keyboard working. Is that possible?

    • @brightideasagency
      @brightideasagency 17 днів тому

      There's no reason you couldn't use the same approach for a full keyboard versus a numeric keypad, it would just be more difficult to set-up. As long as you could apply some logic to determine what action to apply to what field, you could also jump between active fields, perhaps with a button. The difficult step would be ensuring you retain the right input in the right field as you jump between fields. However, conceptually, I don't think there's any reason you couldn't use a similar approach to capture the user input as has been shown here.

    • @brightideasagency
      @brightideasagency 17 днів тому

      Once you create the flow *from loop* (this is important) you can edit it by inserting any standard Power Automate action - however, do consider the limitations I mentioned in the video - you cannot use the technique of creating a flow from Power Automate that will then be connected to a table action in Loop (at least not yet).

    Did you really just say AI stealing copyrighted material is just background noise that buisnesses and individuals should forget about? What happens when they lose a copyright case or a programer uses copyrighted code in their product and get in legal hot water. What kind of advice are u giving people? 7:01

    • @brightideasagency
      @brightideasagency 20 днів тому

      No, I think your interpretation of the video is missing important nuance. The point is that the views of Microsoft versus publishers like NYT will be playing out in the courts, probably for some time to come, and in the interim Microsoft's Copilot content indemnification is a strong commitment. Specifically, later in the video it is stated: "As for the legal jeopardy OpenAI and other AI makers are in, it seems astronomically unlikely that anything is going to fully apply the brakes on the revolution that's taking place. But, with that said, you must be conscious of this issue as one of the big risks of embracing AI". Specifically, when it comes to Copilot for Microsoft 365, for the vast majority of daily uses of the product, and alongside Microsoft's copyright commitment, it seems there is little risk - but would I put AI art on a mass market product? Not currently.

    I am owning small consulting company and it is our aim to streamline at least some of our work. As we are hooked on MS365 we are looking for ideas based on that platfrom that could help us but there are so much overlaping apps and services that they bring more confusion than help. I would just mention To-Do, Planner, Project, Project Pro and God knows what else to plan our resources (not forgetting Outlook). And none of them is giving service that a company would need. And there are hundreds of articles justifying such flood of apps. So, our outsourced IT department has been delighted with Loop and are trying to persuade us to use but I see at (just as many other apps) as pure distraction to way of work we are used to within MS365 "old" apps (Word, Excel, etc.) without any enhancement (just as Word gets some new features that are not useful for 80% or more of users. I am glad that you are shareing your view since not many people would rise critical voice to novelities that pop-up every day for no reasons

This is important for organizations choosing to use these tools to know.

    This was very validating to hear. I had been using OneNote for all my team meeting needs, but when I noticed somewhere, on one of my usual confusing and often fruitless searches for answers to basic questions, that support for OneNote would be discontinued in 2025 (I think?), and having experienced now multiple times where some Microsoft environment I just got used to suddenly changes, often losing core and key features I was using, I decided to stop using OneNote and find something reliable. I'm one of those people whose workplace moved to Sharepoint and Teams during lockdown, and having grown up with computers, I am drawn to trying out any new software I have access to and seeing what I can do with it. In that time, I've learned bits of the Power suite (although that seems to have all undergone a recent change), Sharepoint, and all the fancy new interactive features in the core apps like Excel and Word. I'm proud of the little bits and pieces across the platform(s?) I've done, but, the words uttered often by my father growing up lurk in the near shadows... "Fking Microsoft" I am constantly finding official documentation that has answers to questions I have that are wrong, sometimes in quite significant ways, running into obtuse paywalls and an ever-changing platform that seems more bent on keeping you on their platform, rather than solving the problem in a simple manner. I had been mostly using the free Google products for my collaborative stuff before the pandemic, but (and not without some complaints from me), I migrated everything to Office 365. And there are still many things that seem uneccearily complicated or limited in ways that seem particularly dumb on MS platforms. Many a moment have I started to ponder if computers are just making me go mad, and though I won't entirely reject that possibility, it was refreshing to hear from someone who understands all of this highlighting similar sorts of problems I have been running in to. Final note: I realise that there are Microsoft trainings available, and I will explore them. Most things I know have been self taught through an assortment of UA-cam videos, written/screenshot tutorials, asking my dad or just incessantly trying something over and over in slightly different ways until it works, a process that leaves an awful mess when my entire anatomy just turns into angry groundsoup.

      Copilot for M365 is governed by exactly the same data controls as your M365 business/enterprise agreement. If you use M365 then Copilot should not give you any additional concerns as Microsoft asserts no additional rights to your data. They do not use it.

    Hi! I wanted to use a booking page shared with the team to be able to organise appointments with customers during a trade fair. So I would need the only available days and times to be those of the event. Unfortunately, even if I set the exact days (date, month and day of the week) it gives me the possibility to book at all times and days. Could you help me?

      It seems like you probably do not have your custom availability period set-up correctly. This is the main way to constrain a service to a particular period of time from the service management screen. If you are still running into problems with this, feel free to book a short call with me to review the set-up process: calendly.com/nickdc1/

    Is this now available in the UK?

      I believe this is currently available for US-based tenants with plans to roll out to other locations. I’m not sure if there have been updates from Microsoft on non-US timelines yet.

    Why doesn't the copilot button appear in my Teams application? I have a business account, I am the administrator and I purchased microsoft for 365 business and copilot for microsoft 365 with the Teams option. Is it because i am using it from Mexico and in spanish? Thans in advance

      One factor is time, it can take a while for the capabilities to activate. Beyond that, ensure you have the prereqs taken care of, specifically in this case the update channel. As far as I’m aware this is fully available in Mexico.

      @vichernandez0205 check over the Microsoft adoption website, there’s lot of good information there to fully understand what is needed for copilot

    Hi Nick; enjoying your videos. This video seems to have the sound of a "mechanical clock" ticking (or chewing sound), off to one side of your desk (mic channel) and gets a bit more & more distracting after moving through the video. Just FYI. Again, nice videos and I enjoy your precise reviews and specifics on the various bullet points for the apps that you're discussing. Keep up the great work and inciteful topics.

    I bought a CoPilot + PC and I like it. The battery is super amazing and I like having Co-Pilot built in. The downside is some software is not available with windows for ARM such as Adobe so I can't download that onto my computer and I have to use the web version which I don't really like.

      Interesting. It seems the analysis of these devices suggests they should be called Battery+ PCs as they don’t really add much to Copilot yet.

    Hi Bright Ideas Agency. I followed your video tutorial to set a service for a job interview for Jul 31 with custom hours (8 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 2:15 p.m - 4 p.m, 45 minutes per interview per candidate, no buffer) and saved all changes, . I then opened the service boking page link in a new window and tested making a booking for July 31, no availability is shown available unfortunately. Instead the message "There is no availability on this date. Please choose another one." is shown up. Have I missed something? Could you please help? Thank you.

      The availability you’ll see is a combination of what you set up for the service plus the availability on the included user calendars. Check there are corresponding available times and recheck the availability (service and/or business) in Bookings. Thanks for watching

    Great video - If instead of wondering how PowerPoint works, users will be wondering how Copilot works, this merely shifts the problem. Sums up the whole isse in one sentence!
