I looked at this and I don’t want to know how you played those 64th notes, great job
Matthew Is 8 Years Old
진짜 잘 친다
very nice
Breathtaking
Love it. Thank you for posting!
Good job! This is the style I'm looking for! Thank you so much! I don't have anything to improve for you!
Beautiful playing, Kevin!
Lovely version
Thanks for sharing this video, Adam!
bravo, great performence
WOW. I can't believe this is uploaded!
Thanks!
nice
so beautiful u can come and give me some lessons im soon going to start this piece
i was so ready to search for Kemal Gekic playing this when i accidentally clicked this...but i was PLEASANTLY surprised. beautiful, Kevin. :)
Well done! Congratulations!
There is nothing special about this piece or performance. Mozart composing a symphony at age 8 on the other hand is special...
This is good stuff, but let me give you some advice. When Beethoven writes a double dotted eighth and follows with a 32nd note - he means it. Most performers get this wrong, but yours sound almost triplet-like. Not all of the notes are meant to be stacatto. Look at 0:18 and on to the phrase that goes back into the melody. Would you play that final Eb before the run that goes back into the Scherzo melody as a stacatto? Then why play each note before this stacatto? Some of those notes are longer.
Too "forte"
Amazing, Elizabeth! :) Mrs. B.
Great job considering he's 12!! Some observations: He's missing the 32nd notes (ex. 0:58-1:05) and playing them 16ths. These test a player's technique to the utmost and add character to piece. He is also taking a 'grand pause' (ex. 0:53 and 3:02) when none is written. It is difficult to throw your hands to when striving for that big, rich sound on the chord. Awesome job overall though.
@lovebugg327 lang lang sucks sorry
nice work!
wow! She is soooo good!!!
A beautiful performance of this lovely piece by Liszt - a precursor to Ricordanza.
A very good performance of this difficult movement. [btw It is probably a matter of personal preference but I prefer the final staccato octaves to be played a tempo.
Either way...that is some impressive fingerwork...not gonna lie
Guy is like 17 minimum...look at those arms
@lovebugg327 perchè conservano la birra nei pantaloni
Wow. Such precision and dynamics. Very well done!
I feel kind of stupid now, I've been playing for 13 years, and I can't play this yet. Great performance, and I don't just mean "for an 11 y/o" it's really excellent.
A beautiful performance of this incredibly difficult piece. I think Liszt must have played it this way !!!!
You played your pieces well, Matthew.
Chopin Etude opus 10 no. 3. Scarlatti. Beautiful playing.
Beethoven then the Bartok. Beautiful playing!
A very good performance, Andrew. When the melodic interest is in the left hand try and keep the right hand pianissimo. This will come! 1:32 Beethoven's pedal marking. Yes he wants it to go through the staccatos. You followed Beethoven's pedal markings elsewhere!
Bravo, Andrew! A magnificent performance of this FUN PIECE! "The cakewalk of the peroffspring of African/American heritage" Political correctness gone rampant *chuckles*
@fzhu99 Who is Murray Perahia?
Awesome. Great quality and performance. You really captured Chopin's true intention for this peace. I play the piano, but I don't think I'll be able to match this for a LONGGGGGG........ Time! Great Job!!
You have an outstanding control of nuance even at this early age!
This very early Mozart piece was also one of my first, Kevin!
Well done, Kevin!
The music desk is a bit overpowering. It could be removed as you are playing from memory, Andrew. [or maybe it cannot be removed ?!] Beethoven: excellent technique and memory - a tiny bit fast, perhaps, to my taste Tchaikovsky: excellent stylistically - with great expression as this music demands.
A fine performance, Andrew, but you have removed [almost] all pedal. While I respect your interpretation I'm not sure this is in accordance with the composer's intentions. A nice clean performance, though.
Your playing of this beautiful piece by Chopin is excellent technically and is extremely musical. I am happy to be the first to view, rate and comment!
It looks as though I get to go first! This is a good performance of a movement which has many technical difficulties and in which, as always with Beethoven, the total is greater than the sum of its parts. One point! The left hand trill and turn at 2:02 and at 6:32 are best played as sixteen semiquavers (starting on the upper note as you did) then it fits in easily and sounds much neater. I am stating this without leaving the computer so I hope I'm not talking nonsense.
Beautiful playing, Kevin!
This delightful Liszt piece seems to be an earlier version of Liszt's Ricordanza. Thanks, Kevin, for your beautiful playing and for introducing me to it.
